Trevor Siemian | Free Agent QB

Trevor Siemian was 16/26 for 179 yards and one touchdown in Sunday’s 16-10 win over the Raiders.

Siemian didn’t have the big game many predicted, as a 22-yard score in the first quarter was the only touchdown of the game for Denver. The third-year quarterback has cooled off since his hot start, and he’s now on pace for 3,552 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. The Broncos have a bye next week before taking on the Giants in Week 6. Siemian won’t be a fantasy option in that one.

Chris Carson | Retired RB

Chris Carson will get surgery on his ankle tomorrow, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said.

Carson has already been placed on IR, but the team believes there is a chance he could return this season. The rookie back is eligible to come off IR after eight weeks as a designated to return player, but it’d probably be optimistic to think he’ll be back as a major contributor. Still, you can hold Carson on your fantasy team if you have roster space, with the hope of him returning and making an impact down the stretch.

Travis Benjamin | Free Agent WR

Travis Benjamin catches two passes in Week 4.

The speedy receiver had 21 yards on his two receptions against the Eagles. Benjamin is on pace for 44 receptions, 720 yards, and four touchdowns this season, but he’s more of a boom/bust fantasy option.

10/2/17 - 02:48 PM ET

Derek Carr | Retired QB

Derek Carr has a transerve fracture in his back.

This is obviously worse than back spasms, and it’s a huge blow to Oakland. Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio says Carr could miss as short as two weeks, but “it could be longer.” A back fracture like this is something you do not want to hear, and this could certainly keep him out for several weeks, with reports saying he’ll probably miss two-to-six weeks with the injury. E.J. Manuel—who, on the bright side, did look good when he played against the Broncos yesterday after Carr left—will now take over for the starter for at least this week for the start of an absolutely brutal stretch in the schedule coming up for the Raiders. You have to feel terrible for Carr, who as you probably remember suffered a broken leg in Week 16 last season and could not play in the playoffs. And also keep in mind Tony Romo suffered this injury a few years ago and then struggled with back injuries over the next couple of years. Oakland is 2-2 and will now be without their leader.

10/2/17 - 06:17 PM ET

Amari Cooper | Free Agent WR

Amari Cooper drops another pass, gets shut down in Week 4 loss.

Cooper caught two passes for nine yards, following up a one-catch, six-yard effort a week ago. He’s on pace for a shocking 48/440/4 line, and is committing drops at an inexcusable rate. The former first-round pick needs to turn it around quickly and dramatically if he wants to have a breakout season in 2017. He is difficult to trust against the Ravens in Week 5.

10/2/17 - 02:45 PM ET

Rex Burkhead | Free Agent RB

Rex Burkhead (ribs) was limited in practice today.

A full participation tomorrow would really help Burkhead’s chances of playing on Thursday night against the Bucs, but we’ll see what happens.

10/2/17 - 05:44 PM ET

Tyrell Williams | Free Agent WR

Tyrell Williams catches long touchdown in Week 4.

Williams had five receptions (on six targets) for 115 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown, against the Eagles. The score was on a post route that Philip Rivers bombed and put right on the money for Williams. The 25-year-old receiver is on pace for 64 receptions, 952 yards, and four touchdowns through four games. His role shouldn’t be impacted that much by talented rookie Mike Williams’ return, as he’s playing really well right now.
