Chris Carson | Retired RB

The Seahawks placed RB Chris Carson on IR, according to Field Yates.

The rookie back suffered a serious broken leg at the end of last night’s win over the Colts, and it certainly looks like his season will be over. It’d be a surprise if Carson was able to get healthy and be brought back off IR as a designated to return player, and even if he is brought back, he’s unlikely to be as effective as he was. The Seahawks are likely looking to get Carson to 100% for 2018, while they’ll rely on a combination of Thomas Rawls, Eddie Lacy, C.J. Prosise, and J.D. McKissic for the rest of this year. Rawls, who has shown superb ability in the past, is the favorite to take over as the lead guy in the backfield.

Marshawn Lynch | Free Agent RB

Marshawn Lynch completely shut down in Week 4 loss.

Lynch rushed nine times for 12 yards, continuing his concerning downward trend since Week 1. He honestly looks like he’s running out of gas and might not care as much as he once did, as evidenced by his smiling on the sidelines with a beanie when the Raiders were driving downfield for potential game-tying or game-winning drive. He’s on pace for just 604 yards and four touchdowns, and has another imposing matchup with Baltimore in Week 5. “Beast” Mode should be closer to the waiver wire than your lineup at this point.

Paul Richardson | Free Agent WR

Paul Richardson caught three passes for 65 yards in Sunday night’s win.

Richardson now has 59 yards or a touchdown in every game this season, but he has just 11 catches this season. He’s on pace for only 692 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, as Seattle spreads the ball around too much for him to put up big-time numbers. There are better fantasy options for Week 5.

10/2/17 - 03:45 PM ET

Keenan Allen | Bears WR

Keenan Allen goes off in loss to the Eagles.

Allen caught five passes (on 11 targets) for 138 yards, with a long of 50 against the Eagles. As shown in his stat line, he picked up chunk yardage on his catches as he helped bring the Chargers back and nearly comeback in the game. Allen looked faster than ever in the game, and he’s showing zero signs of any complications from his ACL tear last year. The Chargers receiver is on pace for 96 receptions, 1,336 yards, and four touchdowns, and he’s had at least five catches in every game so far. Allen has a difficult matchup against the Giants next week, but he lines up all over the field and should be matchup-proof.

10/2/17 - 02:42 PM ET

Corey Davis | Free Agent WR

Corey Davis (hamstring) is unlikely to play this week.

The rookie receiver is likely to miss his third-straight game this week, which isn’t surprising with the Titans wanting to ensure he’s 100% before they push him back into action.

Torrey Smith | Retired WR

Torrey Smith struggles in Eagles’ win over the Chargers.

Smith caught one of three targets for nine yards, and he had a drop on a perfect deep ball from Carson Wentz that could not have been handed to him any better. The veteran receiver is on pace for 40 receptions, 536 yards, and no touchdowns. Explosive third-year receiver Nelson Agholor is the better player and should probably be playing over Smith in two-receiver sets.

10/2/17 - 02:29 PM ET

Tyler Lockett | Titans WR

Tyler Lockett totals 91 yards in win over the Colts.

Lockett led the team in receiving with four catches for 67 yards, and he also rushed twice for 24 yards. The dynamic weapon is on pace for 772 yards from scrimmage and no touchdowns, and there are just too many weapons to be a reliable and consistent fantasy contributor. The Seahawks take on the Rams in Week 5.
