Join now >Charles Sims fumbles in Bucs’ Week 2 win.
Sims had two carries for two yards and two receptions for seven yards. The fumble won’t make Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter happy, and it could lead to a decrease in playing time for the fourth-year back. He’s off the fantasy radar in standard-sized leagues right now.

Christian McCaffrey contained in Week 2 win.
McCaffrey rushed eight times for 10 yards and caught four passes for 34 yards in a defensive battle with Buffalo. His day could have been saved if Cam Newton didn’t completely miss him on a would-be touchdown in the fourth quarter, but it didn’t cost them as the Panthers are 2-0 heading into their matchup with the Saints. McCaffrey could see more work with Greg Olsen (foot) out 6-8 weeks, and he remains a solid RB2 in standard leagues and an RB1/RB2 in PPR leagues.

Peyton Barber gets ten carries in Week 2.
Jacquizz Rodgers (19 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown) started the game, but Barber arguably played better. Barber had ten carries for 47 yards against the Bears. With Doug Martin still suspended a couple more games, Barber might see his workload increase in Week 3 and Week 4. It’s difficult to trust him in a matchup with the Steelers and their stingy run defense next week, though.

Jacquizz Rodgers leads Buccaneers backfield to open their season.
With Doug Martin suspended, Rodgers worked as the starter and carried 19 times for 67 yards and a touchdown versus the Bears. Peyton Barber (ten carries, 47 yards) probably outplayed Rodgers, but look for Rodgers to lead the backfield again in Week 3 against the Steelers. He’s a FLEX option despite the difficult matchup.

Jonathan Stewart rushed 15 times for 40 yards in Sunday’s win over the Bills.
Stewart was held without a catch and out of the end zone, but the workload was encouraging. The 30-year-old is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry through two games, though, and could lose work with Christian McCaffrey waiting in the wings. That said, he’s a solid FLEX play until further notice, and he might even be a low-end RB2 for next Sunday’s matchup with the Saints.

Jameis Winston avoids mistakes in Bucs’ first game of the season.
After Tampa’s Week 1 bye, they came out clicking on all cylinders against the Bears, jumping ahead to a 26-0 lead at halftime. Winston was 18/30 for 204 yards and a touchdown in the game. It could’ve been a bigger day if the game was closer, but Winston played well as the defense limited Chicago to seven points. Winston has a potential shootout against the Steelers next week and is on radar as a fantasy starter.
9/18/17 - 11:54 AM ET
Cam Newton was 20/32 for 228 yards in Sunday’s 9-3 win over the Bills.
Newton also rushed five times for 27 yards to give fantasy owners a little boost. Cam still wasn’t exactly sharp in this one, but he didn’t have to do much with Carolina’s defense shutting down the Buffalo offense. The worst play of the day for Newton was missing a wide-open Christian McCaffrey for a touchdown, as it led to a field goal and kept the Bills in the game. Newton will be without his tight end Greg Olsen (foot) for the next 6-8 weeks, but he’s got blowup potential against New Orleans in Week 3.
