Join now >Odell Beckham Jr. did not practice for a second straight day.
Again, OBJ warmed up with the team, but he did not participate in practice. Unless this is a high-ankle sprain and no one is aware of it, Beckham missing the opener about 20 days after spraining his ankle would be a bit of a shock. We still expect him to be out there, but the injury report will get released tomorrow and we’ll see if he’s listed as questionable or doubtful.

Eddie Lacy struggles in Week 1 against the Packers.
Lacy could not get anything going against his former team, carrying five times for three yards. Green Bay didn’t give him much room to run, but the big Lacy did not look great—granted, it was only a few touches for him. Rookie Chris Carson (six carries, 39 yards) outplayed Lacy, and Thomas Rawls (ankle) was inactive but should be back soon, so Lacy’s role might not be a big one this season. Maybe Seattle will feed him the ball this Sunday against the Niners to see what he can do with a bigger workload, though.

Redskins fall to the Eagles in Week 1 of the season.
Kirk Cousins and the offense couldn’t get much going versus the Eagles, scoring 17 points with seven of them coming from the defense on a pick-six. Cousins was 23/40 for 240 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while adding four carries for 30 yards and two lost fumbles. The interception was a critical one deep in Eagles territory, but Cousins and the Redskins have beef on his second fumble (returned for a touchdown in the fourth quarter); it was very clearly a pass that was immediately deflected when he threw it, but the officials decided it was a fumble. Cousins and the Redskins face former offensive coordinator Sean McVay and the Rams in Week 2.

Jacoby Brissett throws three passes in relief of Scott Tolzien.
Brissett completed two of them for 51 yards, including a jump ball to Donte Moncrief for 50 yards. Brissett is likely going to make starts as soon as Week 2, but he might not have much more success than Tolzien did on a team lacking talent. Playing quarterback is even harder than people like to make it out to be, and the Colts need their superstar signal-caller back if they have any chance of competing in 2017.

Thomas Rawls (ankle) was a full participant in Seahawks practice.
Barring a setback, it doesn’t look like Rawls is in danger of missing the season opener against the Packers. Despite his upside, Rawls isn’t a great fantasy option in Week 1 because of the uncertainty with touches in a backfield that could include four active players on game day.

C.J. Prosise doesn’t get targeted in Week 1.
The second-year back from Notre Dame had four carries for 11 yards against Green Bay, but that was it. Russell Wilson and the offense did move the ball with a hurry up attack, so perhaps they’ll go to that more in Week 2 and Prosise will be a big part of it. Prosise is a definite bench hold, but he probably shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups right now.

Torrey Smith shows his speed in Week 1 against the Redskins.
Smith drew three targets in his first regular season game with the Eagles, catching one of them for 30 yards. There was a chance for more, but quarterback Carson Wentz couldn’t quite hit him deep. The good news is Smith showed he still has the ability to get deep, and he’s likely to make some big plays in 2017. It’s difficult to trust him in your fantasy lineup, however.
