Join now >Jordan Matthews is expected to start on Sunday.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said he expects his new receiver to be out there in Week 1 versus the Jets. Matthews, who was battling a chipped sternum, said as much recently. While the fourth-year receiver didn’t play a preseason snap with Tyrod Taylor and the offense, he might get a ton of targets right away in his first game with the team. Matthews is a starting option on Sunday, particularly in PPR leagues.

Derrick Henry gets six carries in Week 1.
The big second-year back had 25 yards on his six attempts and did not have any catches in the game. He did take a whole series at least once in the game, which is a good sign for him, but it’ll be hard to trust him in fantasy lineups until he starts putting up some consistent fantasy starter numbers. Henry did have a two-touchdown game against the Jaguars last season, but Jacksonville looks to be improved on defense after adding some pieces this offseason.

Ty Montgomery returns to Week 1 game against Seattle.
Montgomery left with an ankle injury, but he got it taped and was put back in the game for the start of the next series. He’s having a nice day so far for the Packers, and he’s looking to help them finish off the game with a win against Seattle.

Golden Tate caught 10 passes for 107 yards in the Lions’ season opener.
He also rushed twice for seven yards in the 35-23 win over Arizona. The Lions offense got hot in the second half, and Tate’s work in the slot was a big reason why. He gets the Giants next week, but Tate is a good fantasy option as the focal point of the passing game.

Doug Martin won’t play until Week 5.
Because of the postponement of the Bucs-Dolphins game to Week 11 of the season, Martin’s three-game suspension will now be served in Weeks 2, 3, and 4. Obviously, owners would have liked to get Martin back for Week 4, but at least they won’t lose him for the team’s previously scheduled Week 11 bye. Assuming Martin jumps back into the starting role when he returns in Week 5, Martin will immediately be a great option in fantasy lineups. Martin’s first game will be against the Patriots on Thursday, October 5.

DeMarco Murray doesn’t get much going in Week 1.
The Raiders did a good job against Murray, limiting him to 12 carries for 44 yards and two receptions for 16 yards. He out-carried Derrick Henry, but Henry appears set to take series at a time in the offense. Murray gets the Jaguars next week and will be an RB1 in that game.

Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) is inactive for tonight against the Cowboys.
OBJ warmed up but will not play in the opening Sunday Night Football game of 2017. The revelation that OBJ is dealing with a high-ankle sprain doesn’t make this much of a surprise, as those type of injuries typically last at least four weeks until 100% healed. Next week would make about four weeks—so expect Beckham, who looked good while warming up before practices this week, to be out there in Week 2 against the Lions next Monday night on MNF.
