Houston was suffocated by Jacksonville’s defense in the first half, giving up six sacks. Savage was 7/13 for 62 yards in the first half, but he also lost two fumbles. Despite the benching, there was really nothing Savage could do. Bill O’Brien likely decided Watson’s athleticism could either a) spark the team or b) use his athletic ability to evade pressure. Watson could seize the job and run with it here after Houston scored zero points in the first half.

David Njoku makes NFL debut.
The first-round pick caught two passes for 20 yards in a 21-18 loss to the Steelers. Second-year player Seth DeValve looks like the primary tight end for Cleveland, but they will use a lot of two-tight-end sets, and Njoku obviously has more upside, though it might not be realized in 2017. The Browns play the Ravens next Sunday.

Tyrod Taylor passed concussion protocol, according to Field Yates.
It seemed like Taylor, who returned to practice yesterday but was not fully out of concussion protocol, would be cleared in time, and now he is. This is great to hear, and Taylor will be out there on Sunday against the Jets as a solid QB2 option given his ability to run the ball.

Tyler Eifert gets only one target in Week 1.
The Ravens shut Eifert and the Bengals down, as the tight end had a four-yard reception and that was it. Eifert will try to turn it around on Thursday night versus the Texans.

Danny Woodhead gets carted off with hamstring injury.
Woodhead was dealing with a hamstring injury late in the preseason, and he appears to have suffered a similar injury today against the Bengals. Woodhead was carted to the locker room and is listed as doubtful to return. Don’t expect him to be back today, and this could be a multi-week injury based off the early look of it.

Duke Johnson operates primarily in the slot for Week 1.
Johnson only caught two passes for 20 yards, and did not receive a carry. Cleveland will try to pound the ball with Isaiah Crowell with the passing game centered around Corey Coleman, so Johnson doesn’t have much fantasy value right now. Eventually getting dual eligibility at RB and WR would obviously be a plus, though, particularly in PPR leagues. Keep him out of your lineup against the Ravens in Week 2.

Dalvin Cook is listed as the starting running back on the Vikings depth chart.
This isn’t a surprise, as the rookie running back played great this preseason and received a ton of praise from coaches and players while Latavius Murray missed most of the preseason recovering from offseason ankle surgery. Murray will still have a role, we’re just not sure how big it’s going to be; if it’s near the goal line, Cook’s upside would take a hit. Nevertheless, Cook is an RB2 to open the season on Monday night versus New Orleans.
