Brock Osweiler | Retired QB

The Broncos are interested in signing Brock Osweiler.

This was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who says Denver is his “likely landing spot.” ESPN’s Adam Schefter says there are “still details to work out” but Denver hopes to sign him. Of course, Osweiler was drafted in the second round by the Broncos in 2012 and had some success with them when Peyton Manning was injured in 2015. The two sides didn’t have a great ending to the relationship after Osweiler signed with Houston, but it appears a deal could get done. Trevor Siemien would probably have a chance to keep his starting job, but Osweiler’s presence would put more pressure on him. We’ll see if a deal is reached.

Andrew Luck | Retired QB

The Colts officially took Andrew Luck off the PUP list.

This was fully expected, as remaining on the PUP would’ve forced Luck to miss the first six games of the season. Still, the talk right now is that Luck will miss Week 1 as he’s still working his way to 100% after offseason shoulder surgery. While they aren’t putting a timetable on it (as they haven’t this entire time, which is part of why people are freaking out), Luck should be back within the first six weeks of the season if he isn’t ready for Week 1. He’s still worth a selection in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts, given his upside when on the field.

Rod Streater | Browns WR

The Bills cut receiver Rod Streater.

Streater probably just missed out on making Buffalo’s receiving group, so he’ll now be looking for another team. The 29-year-old Streater is likely to get a look elsewhere.

Luke McCown | Retired QB

The Cowboys cut QB Luke McCown, according to Ian Rapoport.

Cooper Rush was able to really assert himself as an undrafted rookie and take over the backup role for the Cowboys behind Dak Prescott. The veteran quarterback should at least get some calls from other teams in the coming days/weeks.

Kellen Moore | Free Agent QB

The Cowboys are releasing Kellen Moore, according to Ian Rapoport.

Despite Moore working as the number two quarterback for the Cowboys much of the last few months, this isn’t a surprise. Rookie Cooper Rush played great and seized the backup job behind Dak Prescott. Rapoport says the Cowboys could bring him back, but for now it’s just Prescott and Rush as the quarterbacks in Dallas.

Mike Williams | Chargers WR

Mike Williams will not start the season on the PUP, according to Ian Rapoport.

This is great news, as Williams is likely progressing very well from his back injury—otherwise, the Chargers would’ve placed him on the PUP, which would’ve kept him out for six weeks. He might not be ready for Week 1, but the seventh overall pick in the draft looks like he should be good to go within the first few weeks of the season (Rapoport says the hope is Williams will be ready for October). Williams would be a big boost to the Chargers offense, and he’s worth a flier at the very end of fantasy drafts.

Breshad Perriman | Free Agent WR

Breshad Perriman returns to practice for the Ravens.

Although he missed a few weeks with a hamstring injury, the team said he’d be ready for Week 1 and this puts him right on track. Quarterback Joe Flacco and running back Danny Woodhead also returned to Ravens practice today. Perriman will be the number three behind Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace in Baltimore, but he still might provide some good fantasy value this season. He’s a potential matchup nightmare, with Maclin and Wallace taking a lot of attention away from him.
