Join now >John Brown explodes in Week 3 of the preseason.
The Cardinals receiver had two 20+ yard touchdowns—one from Carson Palmer and one from Drew Stanton—in the exhibition against Atlanta. Both touchdowns were on go routes in the end zone where Brown made a couple nice catches. His stat line was two receptions (on two targets) for 49 yards and two touchdowns. This was a needed performance for Brown, and it was good to see after he was struggling to get over his quad injury that kept him out for much of the preseason. It looks like John Brown might be back as Arizona’s number two receiver behind Larry Fitzgerald. He’s one of the better picks in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

Chris Johnson carries six times for 31 yards in Cardinals’ preseason game.
Johnson entered the game with the starters after David Johnson played just a few snaps. He did fumble twice (and lost one), so head coach Bruce Arians will not like that one bit. Still, CJ is likely going to be the number two running back behind DJ.

Cooper Rush takes hold of the Cowboys’ backup quarterback job.
Rush was recently moved up to the second team, and he got a lot of playing time in the Cowboys’ Week 3 preseason game, going 12/13 of 115 yards and two touchdowns. It’s obvious Rush, who has impressed since the Hall of Fame Game versus the Cardinals, is now Dak Prescott’s backup. Hopefully Prescott stays healthy and Rush won’t see the field this season, though.

Lance Lenoir catches touchdown in Cowboys’ third preseason game.
The undrafted rookie receiver had two receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown against the Raiders. The touchdown was a 44-yard deep ball from Cooper Rush. Lenoir is fighting for a roster spot with the Cowboys, but he could be practice squad guy if he doesn’t make the team.

Ronnie Hillman catches touchdown in Cowboys’ third preseason game.
Hillman did not receive any carries against Oakland, but he had four receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown. With Ezekiel Elliott suspended for six games, Hillman could have a decent role in passing situations for the Cowboys to open the year.
8/27/17 - 01:12 PM ET
Cole Beasley catches only target in Cowboys’ third preseason game.
Beasley had one reception for ten yards in the exhibition against Oakland. It’s great to see him at 100% entering the season after he dealt with some hamstring injuries earlier in the offseason. Beasley is an option in PPR leagues.

Brice Butler catches two passes for 28 yards in Cowboys’ third preseason game.
Butler will be a contributor to the Cowboys this season, but the talented receiver likely won’t deliver consistent fantasy value and probably should not be drafted in fantasy leagues.
