Aside from wearing a knee brace, it doesn’t look like Allen is coming off a torn ACL from last year. He had five receptions for 45 yards and continued playing even after Philip Rivers and Melvin Gordon left the exhibition against the Rams. Allen is going outside the top 15 receivers and should provide good value there as Philip Rivers’ number one receiver.

Travis Benjamin catches 45-yard touchdown in Chargers’ third preseason game.
The Chargers opened the game with the ball and went right down the field on the Rams before Benjamin zoomed behind the defense and Philip Rivers hit him with a deep ball for a touchdown. It was Benjamin’s only reception of the exhibition, and he could be done for the preseason as most, if not all, the starters won’t be playing in Week 4 of the preseason. Benjamin should have some big weeks this season, it’s just a matter of placing him in your lineup at the right time.

Darius Victor rushed eight times for 30 yards and one touchdown on Saturday night.
He also lost a fumble, but good for the undrafted rookie finding the end zone. Victor isn’t someone to worry about in fantasy leagues.

Ted Ginn totals 50 yards in Saints’ third preseason game.
Ginn rushed once for 24 yards and caught three passes for 26 yards. Signed by New Orleans to replace Brandin Cooks as the vertical threat on the offense, Ginn is an interesting late-round flier in fantasy drafts. He is unlikely to be a consistent option, but the upside will be there in a Drew Brees orchestrated attack.

Melvin Gordon scores in Chargers’ third preseason game.
Gordon had eight carries for 36 yards and a touchdown, with the touchdown coming near the goal line. The stud third-year back has looked excellent this preseason, and he should get a good amount of scoring opportunities with a potentially improved Chargers team this season. He’s considered a late first/early second round pick in fantasy leagues, but there is no question he should be selected in the first round. Gordon has the upside to be the top option at running back behind David Johnson and Le’Veon Bell.
8/27/17 - 12:15 PM ET
Willie Snead caught one pass for four yards on Saturday night.
It was the first time this preseason that all the starters played for New Orleans, and Snead looked to be behind Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn, Mark Ingram, and Adrian Peterson in the offense. He is an underwhelming pick in the seventh or eighth round of fantasy drafts.
8/27/17 - 12:13 PM ET
Philip Rivers plays great in Week 3 of the preseason.
Rivers led two scoring drives for the Chargers in the first quarter while going 6/6 for 85 yards and a touchdown. He’s locked in and ready to lead a talented Chargers team as they attempt to get back into the playoffs in 2017. His seemingly difficult schedule might be a concern, but Rivers is looking like one of the better quarterback targets later in fantasy drafts.
