Ben Roethlisberger looks sharp in Steelers’ third preseason game.

Big Ben was 6/9 for 73 yards, leading the Steelers to a field goal drive in the first quarter against the Colts. The pass offense was clicking, and the running game will get a big boost when Le’Veon Bell returns to the team in September. Roethlisberger offers high-end QB1 upside on any given week, but he’s currently going outside the top ten quarterbacks in fantasy drafts. Remember: his home/road splits last season were drastic, as he played much better at home in Heinz Field.

O.J. Howard caught two passes for 15 yards on Saturday night.

Howard is being drafted as a late-round pick in fantasy drafts, but teammate Cameron Brate is probably the better pick, and he’s going undrafted in many leagues. You should probably look elsewhere at the tight end position for 2017.

Chiefs running back Spencer Ware is expected to be out for the entire season.

He has a torn PCL and other damage to the knee, and it’s thought to be a season ending injury after the initial diagnosis by the Chiefs head trainer Rick Burkholder. Chiefs reporter BJ Kissel says they are getting a second opinion, so there’s still some hope; but the most likely scenario is Ware missing the entire season with the injury. Rookie Kareem Hunt will immediately step in as an every-down back for the Chiefs, and his ADP is going to sky rocket in the coming days. Hopefully Ware and the Chiefs end up getting some good news.

Cameron Brate caught two passes for 22 yards on Saturday night.

Brate will split time with first-round pick O.J. Howard this season, but the veteran is the preferred fantasy option. Currently going undrafted in fantasy leagues, Brate is probably undervalued after leading the position in touchdowns last season.

Chris Godwin impresses in preseason start.

With Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson down for maintenance, Godwin led the Bucs with four catches and 56 yards. The third-round pick make tough catches in traffic, showing good hands and toughness with the first-team offense. Godwin is someone to keep an eye on in all leagues, especially with Jackson’s injury history, and he’s a must-buy in dynasty leagues before everyone catches on to how good he is.

Doug Martin rushed twice for two yards in Saturday night’s preseason game.

Martin also caught two passes for 14 yards. The bounce-back candidate didn’t start the game, but he will almost certainly have the starting job when he returns from his three-game suspension. Martin is currently going at the top of the eighth round in fantasy drafts.

Kamar Aiken catches both targets in Colts’ third preseason game.

Aiken had two receptions for 24 yards in the exhibition against Pittsburgh. Phillip Dorsett led the team in receiving and might have seized the third receiver spot for the team. Aiken will have to be the third receiver to deliver fantasy value this season, so he’s off the fantasy radar at this point.
