With both Ben Roethlisberger and Landry Jones not playing in the game, Dobbs got the start and played for much of the game. He was 10/19 for 70 yards and an interception. The interception was on a reckless underhanded throw, but Dobbs is only a rookie. He’ll get more time this preseason to get better and try to show he can play in the league.

Austin Hooper catches both targets in preseason game against the Steelers.
Hooper had 24 yards on his two receptions in the Week 2 preseason game. His best play was on a third-down conversion where Matt Ryan stepped up in the pocket and found Hooper to keep the drive going. Hooper is a good bet to increase his 19 catch total he had last season as a rookie.

Mohamed Sanu catches both targets in preseason game against Pittsburgh.
With Julio Jones sitting out the game, Sanu was Matt Ryan’s number one receiver. Sanu caught two passes for 25 yards in the opening drive as the Falcons went right down the field for a touchdown. Sanu will certainly have some good weeks playing in such a great offense, but he’s currently going undrafted in fantasy drafts.

Terron Ward scores in Falcons’ Week 2 preseason game.
Tevin Coleman only played a few snaps before Ward entered the game with the starters. Ward carries nine times for 37 yards and ended the Falcons’ opening drive with a touchdown. Ward is locked in as the number three back behind Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman in Atlanta.

Tevin Coleman gets two carries in Week 2 of the preseason.
Both of Coleman’s carries went for -1 yard. Devonta Freeman (concussion) already wasn’t playing in the game, so the Falcons promptly got their other dynamic running back out of the game after a few snaps as they look to keep him healthy for the regular season.

Matt Ryan leads touchdown drive in only series in Week 2 preseason game.
Matty Ice was 4/6 for 57 yards as he carved up the Steelers defense. A couple of Ryan’s passes weren’t exactly on point, but he appeared comfortable and kept the offense moving. His best play was on a third down where he stepped up in the pocket and delivered a strike to tight end Austin Hooper for a first down. There’s no reason last year’s NFL MVP won’t be a great QB1 again in 2017.

The Redskins activated Jordan Reed from PUP.
Washington’s athletic tight end was dealing with a toe injury that kept him on the PUP from the start of training camp. The team never sounded too concerned about Reed, but it’s still a great sign that he’s off the PUP and can now practice. He might play in this week’s third preseason game as the team prepares for the regular season; and if there was any question about Reed being ready for Week 1, that can be put to bed. Reed is an obvious top-five TE1 as Kirk Cousins’ most trusted target.
