Redskins offense struggles in preseason loss to Green Bay.

Kirk Cousins was 14/23 for 144 yards and one touchdown as he played the entire first half of the exhibition. It was a concerning outing for Washington’s offense in general against a weak Packers secondary, but they ended on a high note with a touchdown to Jamison Crowder. Cousins has not shown great chemistry with free-agent signing Terrelle Pryor so far, and they will try to straighten things out in the regular season dress rehearsal against the Bengals.

Jacoby Brissett goes 5/10 for 36 yards in exhibition against Houston.

The second-year quarterback couldn’t get much going in the game against the team he beat in the regular season last year. Look for Brissett to get more time in the third preseason game, and extensive time in the fourth.

Bennett catches three-yard touchdown in first game action with Aaron Rodgers.

It was his only catch of the game, and it capped off a 15-play opening drive. Marty B is currently going in the 9th round of fantasy drafts, but that seems too high for a guy that will be no better than the fourth option on the offense. Bennett will probably be touchdown-or-bust most weeks in 2017.

Jimmy G gets extensive playing time in second preseason game.

Tom Brady played after sitting out the first preseason game, but Garoppolo still got a lot of work against the Texans. The fourth-year quarterback was 15/23 for 145 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. It was interesting that Garoppolo’s touchdown to D.J. Foster came on the same exact route Brady threw his touchdown to Rex Burkhead. Garoppolo will certainly draw a ton of interest from other teams if/when he reaches free agency as an unrestricted free agent.

Davante Adams caught one pass for six yards in the Packers’ second preseason game.

Adams got to play with Aaron Rodgers in this one, but he was only able to bring in one reception on the 15-play opening drive. Martellus Bennett could take away some red zone looks from Adams, but he still provides good value in the 5th round of fantasy drafts.

Tom Brady leads touchdown drive in 2017 preseason debut.

After sitting out Week 1 of the preseason, Brady and the Pats starters played in the second preseason game against the Texans. Brady looked as you’d expect, throwing pinpoint passes while going 6/9 for 67 yards and a touchdown. Brady’s touchdown came on a pass over the middle to Rex Burkhead, who zoomed straight up the field to the end zone from 22 yards. The 40-year-old quarterback is still as good as ever and will obviously be an elite QB1 again this season.

Randall Cobb caught two passes for nine yards in Saturday night’s win over the Redskins.

We got to see Aaron Rodgers play in the exhibition after sitting out the first game, and he spread the ball to all three top receivers and new tight end Martellus Bennett on his first and only drive. Cobb is currently going in the 10th round of fantasy drafts, but he will likely be a frustrating own with some difficult-to-predict big games mixed with quiet ones.
