Join now >Cooper Kupp scores on fumble recovery in preseason game against Dallas.
The rookier receiver was alert on a fumble recovery in the end zone, which turns out to be his first ever NFL (preseason) touchdown. Kupp also had two receptions for 35 yards, including a nice catch for a first down on a bootleg from Jared Goff. The addition of Sammy Watkins complicates things for Kupp’s fantasy value, but he should still be a contributor for the offense this season and a potential asset in PPR leagues.

Jerick McKinnon plays behind Dalvin Cook in second preseason game versus Seattle.
The rookie Cook took every snap except for one or two with the first-team offense, as McKinnon got a couple touches. He had one carry for -6 yards, where he was hit immediately in the backfield. And he also had an eight-yard reception from Sam Bradford. McKinnon did start the game as the team’s kick returner, so he’s in the mix there. It doesn’t look like McKinnon will have much fantasy value to start the season, though he will contribute to the Vikings in real life.

Rookie running back Justin Davis flashes for the Rams.
The undrafted rookie out of USC popped off the screen in the Week 1 preseason game against Dallas. He had nine carries for 70 yards and one catch for seven yards. The only issue was Davis held the ball loosely in the beginning of his time in the game and fumbled twice, losing one. Some of his teammates like Todd Gurley were supportive of Davis, though, as they tried to help him work on his ball security on the sideline. Perhaps Davis was nervous and/or excited about his first NFL game, but he definitely ran hard and with a lot of energy. Davis averaged 5.3 yards per carry at USC, and he’s someone to keep an eye on.

O.J. Howard caught two passes for 28 yards in Thursday night’s preseason game.
Howard nearly charged his way into the end zone on one of his receptions, but was stopped short. Still, it showed the strength and speed of the rookie tight end. Howard, currently going as the TE13, probably isn’t worth drafting over some of the players he is going ahead of, though, because of Cameron Brate’s presence.

Troy Niklas catches touchdown in preseason game against Oakland.
Niklas caught two passes for 14 yards and got free in the end zone for a touchdown in the second quarter after Drew Stanton scrambled and found him. He likely won’t have much fantasy value with Jermaine Gresham there in Arizona.

Dalvin Cook takes control of Vikings backfield in second preseason game.
Taking almost all of the first-team snaps in the first half against Seattle, Cook carries seven times for 40 yards. The second-round rookie showed his quickness and acceleration while cutting through the Seahawks defense. Cook also had one reception for ten yards. Meanwhile, Jerick McKinnon only played one or two snaps with Sam Bradford and the first unit, so Cook seems well ahead of him on the depth chart. We haven’t seen Latavius Murray—who could steal goal line snaps—on the field yet, but Cook looks like he’ll be the lead guy in Minnesota’s backfield. Cook is already going in the top 50, but his ADP might continue to rise.

Jermaine Gresham catches one pass in preseason game against Oakland.
Arizona’s starting tight end had a nine-yard reception in his limited action. He should deliver some top ten TE fantasy weeks in 2017, but it’s unlikely he’s a reliable fantasy option with so many other options at the TE position.
