Miller lined up in the slot and the Texans tried to get him involved, as he had three receptions for ten yards. The second-year receiver certainly has the ability to make game-breaking plays, which we will see some of this season. Miller has some PPR upside as someone the Texans want to get the ball in the hands of.

Lamar Miller gets little time in Week 1 of the preseason.
Miller had two carries for no yards against the Panthers before getting pulled from the game. The Texans will likely get their top running back more action in the second and/or third preseason game.

DeAndre Hopkins catches two passes against the Panthers in preseason game.
Hopkins had two receptions for 15 yards in under a quarter of play. The Texans’ number one receiver might get some time with Deshaun Watson in the next couple preseason games.

Tom Savage was 9/11 for 69 yards in the Texans’ first preseason game.
Savage and the first-team offense went down the field for one touchdown drive in about a quarter. While they didn’t have any chunk plays, he completed passes and didn’t make any mistakes. He’ll probably get more time in the team’s second preseason game next week.

Amari Cooper missed practice again today.
Cooper is dealing with a leg injury that’s knocked him out for the last five practices. Obviously it’d be better if he was out there practicing with Derek Carr and company, but it isn’t too concerning for his regular season outlook. Hopefully Cooper can get back out there soon and play in the second and third preseason games, because it’s unlikely he’ll be out there for their first one on Saturday after missing so much practice.

Martavis Bryant has been cleared to participate in all preseason activities (including games) according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Yates says the talented receiver is still not fully reinstated, but we assume it’s only a matter of time before that happens. This is great news for the Steelers, Bryant, and fantasy owners, as now he will get to practice and play this preseason as he awaits full reinstatement for the regular season. Pittsburgh’s explosive weapon needs to stay clean, but he could be a fantasy monster in 2017 and beyond.

Thomas Rawls is taking first-team reps while Eddie Lacy works with the backups.
Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times tweeted “Lacy working solely with backup units during team drills. Rawls appears clear number one right now.” Be careful not to overreact to this, but don’t be surprised if Rawls—who was on the field first in Seattle’s “mock game” a few days ago—ends up the primary ball carrier for Seattle, despite most thinking Lacy will be. Rawls has elite running ability and head coach Pete Carroll is a huge fan of his attitude. If Rawls handles most of the first-team reps throughout the preseason, he’ll be the back to draft for your fantasy team. Ideally, you’ll wait until after at least Week 3 of the preseason to draft your team so you can see how this situation is looking then.
