Matthews had been dealing with knee tendinitis, but he’s back practicing for the Eagles’ first full team practice. After missing almost the entire offseason, it’ll be interesting to see where Matthews is in the receiving group. Nelson Agholor had been getting the first-team slot reps with J-Matt out and was reportedly very impressive. We’d guess Agholor moves back outside as the number two opposite Alshon Jeffery, while Matthews moves into the slot and Torrey Smith steps back as the number four receiver.

Pete Carroll is “fired up” about Eddie Lacy.
The big Seahawks back hit his weight milestone today, as he’s hit every one so far and is taking his weight seriously. Lacy is reportedly moving well throughout training camp so far. Carroll said Lacy “is rumbling and doing just what we want, and he is going to run huge, just the way we like it.” A lot can change, but as of now it looks like Seattle is going to look to use Lacy as their hammer this season, probably with Thomas Rawls as some major juice off the bench, along with C.J. Prosise on third downs.

Browns receiver Corey Coleman is 100% for training camp.
The second-year receiver missed a lot of OTAs with a hamstring injury but says he’s “ready to roll.” In the spring, head coach Hue Jackson said he could’ve had Coleman play through the hamstring issue, but didn’t want to force it. The first receiver selected in the 2016 draft is looking to emerge as the Browns’ number one receiver this season. He’s a player to watch throughout training camp and the preseason.

Duke Johnson worked primarily in the slot in the Browns’ team scrimmage tonight.
Johnson got a handful snaps (at most) in the backfield, instead working a lot of the scrimmage in the slot. It’s certainly looking like the slot will be Johnson’s primary position this season as he also mixes in the backfield in passing situations and for the occasional traditional carry. In PPR leagues, Johnson could end up being a nice option as a running back playing receiver; and he should get dual eligibility (as a RB and WR) in most fantasy leagues quickly after the regular season begins (as long as he’s still playing in the slot).

John Harbaugh said “we’ll see what happens” with free agent Colin Kaepernick.
The Ravens head coach made it clear it’s “only speculation right now” that the team will sign Kaepernick with Joe Flacco dealing with a back injury that will keep him out of practice for a week. Harbaugh, who of course knows Kaepernick through his brother Jim, said he’s talked to Kaepernick and says “he’s a guy right now that’s being talked about.” The Ravens might be Kaepernick’s only chance to get back into the NFL, but we wouldn’t count on it.

Tavon Austin left practice today.
The extent of the injury is unknown, but it’s reportedly just a minor leg injury. Hopefully it’s nothing, but we’ll let you know if it’s something serious. Austin needs to stay healthy if he’s going to have a big season in the first year of Sean McVay’s offense.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh clarifies Joe Flacco’s back situation.
Harbaugh said Flacco is expected to miss practice for about a week so he can rest, but should be OK. Harbaugh also made clear Flacco isn’t expected to miss any regular season time with the issue. This lines up with what ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported last night, which opposed the NFL Network report that Flacco would be out two weeks and was preparing to miss three-to-six weeks. The situation can change, as back injuries can be tricky, but hopefully Flacco resting for a week gets him to 100% and he can hit the field with his team.
