Join now >Rookie running back Jamaal Williams has been getting first-team reps with the Packers.
Yesterday, Packers offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett said Williams has earned first-team reps because of his performance in pass protection. Rob Demovsky of ESPN says Williams “appears to be pushing” Ty Montgomery. Head coach Mike McCarthy talked up Montgomery, calling him a “stud” a couple days ago while adding that he is very good in pass protection, but the fourth-rounder Williams excels in pass protection and could take some work from the incumbent starter.

Jeff Dickerson of ESPN believes Zach Miller might be on the roster bubble.
Although Miller has been one of the Bears’ most consistent options over the past two seasons when on the field, a foot injury ended his season last year, and the team drafted Adam Shaheen in the second round, while signing Dion Sims during free agency. Still, Miller has been productive and should not be counted out. His fantasy value will be limited if he does stay with the Bears, however, with Shaheen and Sims now in the mix.

Jay Ajayi exited practice early and is being evaluated for a concussion, according to head coach Adam Gase.
Hopefully Ajayi is alright and was just taken off as a precaution, but we’ll see when we get official word from the Dolphins. Miami has ten days until their first preseason game, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if Ajayi sits out whether or not he does indeed have a concussion. The Dolphins likely want to play it safe with the centerpiece of their offense anyway, so we might only see him in the third preseason game. Ajayi is a borderline first/second round pick in fantasy drafts right now.

ESPN Redskins reporter John Keim believes receiver Brian Quick is on the roster bubble.
Multiple reports have stated Quick didn’t look great during spring practices, and head coach Jay Gruden talked up receiver Ryan Grant. Terrelle Pryor, Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson, and Grant are likely locked into the top four receiver spots, but Quick will still have a chance to make the roster if he plays well throughout training camp and the preseason. Quick is a size/speed receiver that has shown he can make plays in the NFL.

David Njoku has a back issue and missed practice today.
Browns head coach Hue Jackson said his rookie tight end’s back flared up at the start of practice, but added “I don’t think it’s anything major.” Hopefully Njoku is OK and can get back on the practice field soon, as he’s expected to be a contributor in his first year in the league.

Ryan Tannehill will have to wear a brace this season.
James Walker of ESPN wrote the starting quarterback, who didn’t get surgery on his severely sprained knee, needs to wear a brace but didn’t seem hindered by it throughout the offseason. Walker is interested in seeing how Tannehill’s knee responds to full contact, but hopefully it isn’t an issue. Plenty of quarterbacks wear knee braces without it hindering their production, so Tannehill should be fine as he attempts to take a step forward in the second year of Adam Gase’s offense.

The Ravens waived quarterback David Olson.
Olson had a few days with the Ravens and unfortunately looks like he won’t be getting any preseason action, which would have been pretty cool for someone that’s kept at football despite being behind Andrew Luck in college and only taking a few snaps at Stanford and Clemson. The team signed quarterback Josh Woodrum to take his place.
