Join now >Free agent tight end Gary Barnidge is visiting the Jaguars on Tuesday, according to Mike Kaye.
Kaye reports Barnidge will visit and workout for the team. There hasn’t been much known interest in Barnidge after he was cut by the Browns in late April, but the Jaguars are a team that could use him. If the Jaguars don’t end up signing the former Pro Bowl tight end, other teams will certainly be interested if and when they find tight end as a need during training camp.

Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon has been out since Thursday with an injury.
It’s not known what the injury is, but it’s believed to be minor, according to multiple reports. With McKinnon out, rookie Dalvin Cook has been taking advantage of almost all of the first-team reps because Latavius Murray is still on the PUP as he recovers from offseason ankle surgery. McKinnon and Murray will both be factors in Minnesota’s backfield, but the talented Cook might snatch and not give back the role as the lead back if they are out for much longer.

Second-year running back Devontae Booker says he’s “more ready” this season.
Booker wants to compete for the Broncos number one running back job, and new head coach Vance Joseph said Booker wants to be “the guy” in the backfield. Joseph also indicated at least a couple times during the offseason that he would like to use a backfield by committee. Booker was a fourth-round pick in 2016 and was a perfect fit for Gary Kubiak’s offense, so the former Broncos head coach’s retirement was not ideal for him. However, he still has a lot of ability and should be just fine in Mike McCoy’s offense. Booker admitted he felt “nervous,” was overthinking, and his “head was spinning” as a rookie last year, but he says the game is moving slower this year, so he can play faster.

Julio Jones says his foot feels “great.”
Atlanta’s All-Pro receiver is 100%, but they aren’t going to push things in training camp. Julio will obviously be an elite option again this season and is a first-round lock in all fantasy drafts.

ESPN’s Adam Teicher believes Kareem Hunt is “best-positioned to have an immediate impact” of the Chiefs rookies.
Teicher writes that the third-round pick is “versatile enough to be the the all-around player the Chiefs demand from their feature back.” He also doesn’t think the Chiefs got the production they wanted from Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West at the end of last season. While Teicher thinks Ware will open the year as the starter, he believes Hunt has a chance to overtake him and become the team’s leader rusher or receiver out of the backfield as a rookie. The Chiefs are a deep team, but they took Hunt in the third round for a reason and must have seen him as a very good player. He’s someone to watch this preseason.

The Chargers placed WR Mike Williams on the PUP list.
This isn’t a surprise, as the rookie receiver is trying to remedy his back issue. GM Tom Telesco said yesterday that he expects to get more news and a timetable on Williams this weekend, so we’ll update you when that information becomes available.

Joe Flacco said it was “it’s exciting to see” Breshad Perriman healthy this offseason.
Flacco said “you can just see the confidence in [Perriman’s] eyes,” and that he’s back at the level he was when he came in healthy as a rookie and was “running by people.” Perriman says his chemistry with Flacco is in a good spot and continues to improve as he tries to run good routes so his quarterback can trust him. With the addition of Jeremy Maclin, Perriman is now the team’s number three receiver; but if he steps up it would be great for Flacco and the entire Ravens offense. Perriman is one of the keys to Baltimore’s success this season, but he might not be a good fantasy option as long as he’s behind Mike Wallace and Jeremy Maclin for targets.
