The Giants owner said of his star receiver, “he deserves to get paid. We’re going to pay him.” OBJ made news when he said he wanted to be not only the highest paid receiver in the league, but the highest paid player overall. There is a 0% chance Beckham becomes the highest paid player in the league, but he might get the most money among receivers. Under team control for two more years (not including the franchise tag) one would think Beckham obviously needs to show more maturity before the Giants hand him a monster long-term deal, though.

The NFL is looking into the alleged Ezekiel Elliott incident, according to multiple reports.
TMZ obtained a video (linked below) of a man on the ground, with a "witness" saying she saw Elliott punch the man. While no arrests were made and Elliott has not been named a suspect, this isn't looking very good right now for the star running back. He's already potentially facing a suspension for an alleged domestic abuse case from last season. If the past is any indication, don't be surprised if the NFL ends up coming down with a heavy punishment on Elliott even if nothing comes of this recent club incident.

Amari Cooper has bulked up to 217 pounds.
The 23-year-old receiver played at 210 pounds last season, but added some weight. Images have shown Cooper looking noticeably bigger and more muscular this year, and this confirms it. As a former player in the Alabama football program, it’s no surprise to see Cooper in great shape. He likely trained to keep his great acceleration and speed while adding the extra weight. The former fourth overall pick could breakout for a monster 2017 after going over 1,000 yards in each of his first two NFL seasons.

The Bears have released receiver Eddie Royal.
The Bears revamped their receiving corps this offseason, and they're moving on from Royal. It's unclear who the three starting receivers will be for the Bears, aside from former first rounder Kevin White likely starting. Royal should draw interest from other teams quickly.

According to Michael Silver, Devonta Freeman has purchased a $10 million insurance policy.
We’ve seen big-time college players with NFL aspirations do this over the last few years. Freeman makes a payment, and if he’s injured he’ll make $10 million (presumably if he doesn’t sign a new contract). Silver also reports Freeman and the Falcons are still negotiating a contract extension, but Freeman taking out an insurance policy can’t be seen as optimistic in regards to getting a deal done. Freeman is out there practicing though, so maybe he doesn’t want to risk an injury during training camp without the insurance or a long-term deal.

Dallas PD released statement regarding potential Ezekiel Elliott incident.
The statement does not mention Elliott, it just says a 30-year-old was assaulted and is not sure who did it. There were no arrests made, and there are no suspects yet. The Dallas PD says the investigation is "on-going." According to multiple reports, Elliott was involved in an altercation at the same time last night. It's too early to tell what's going to come of this, if anything, and we don't want to jump to conclusions.

Jeremy Langford has a sprained ankle and didn’t practice today.
Head coach John Fox says he injured the ankle last night and it was the same one that forced him to miss four games last season. The injury isn’t serious, but it shows Langford might not be fully over his ankle issues—sometimes, guys just struggle with bad ankles. He’ll be OK though, and hopefully he can take steps to avoid future injuries there. Langford is vying to be the primary backup behind Jordan Howard.
