Currently franchise tagged, Bell is looking for a long-term deal with the Steelers. Ian Rapoport says "negotiations are ongoing" and Bell might report "if things ramp up." The team and Bell have until July 15 to agree to a long-term deal, or Bell will only be able to play on the franchise tag this season. The Steelers want Bell with the team long term, so something should get done by then.

Mike Garafolo reports the Eagles "took a shot" at Jeremy Maclin.
This lines up with the Josina Anderson report that Maclin was considering the Eagles more than the Bills. Garafolo says it "wasn't exactly a bidding war," implying that the Eagles didn't offer nearly as much as Baltimore, who reportedly gave Maclin "solid money." Head coach Doug Peterson said the team wasn't interested in Maclin right now, and it appears there might be a disconnect between Peterson and the front office—something that seemed obvious during Pederson's first year with the Eagles.

Cam Newton isn’t throwing at Panthers mini camp.
Head coach Ron Rivera said last week that Newton was probably going to throw on the side, but that won’t happen. It’s not a setback, and the team is just taking it slow with their franchise quarterback as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery. The original timeline was for Newton to throw on June 22—twelve weeks after surgery, so Rivera was off by a week when he said Newton would throw. Cam should be good for training camp.

The Jets are releasing receiver Eric Decker, according to Adam Schefter.
It looks like Baltimore was the most interested party in Decker, as this news comes a little after Jeremy Maclin signed with the Ravens. Schefter says some teams were trying to get the Jets to take on some of Decker's salary, but that obviously didn't work out. Now, Decker will get to choose his own team. There should be a ton of interest in the three-time 1,000-yard receiver, with the Bills—who wanted Maclin—as one of the most likely teams. The Eagles are another team to keep an eye on.

Josina Anderson reports that Jeremy Maclin's decision came down to the Eagles and Ravens.
Considering Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said the team was not interested in Maclin at this time, this could potentially be fake news. Nevertheless, Maclin is a Raven and will look to be a big contributor for them.

Adam Schefter reports the Ravens are still "in running" for Jets receiver Eric Decker.
Baltimore just signed Maclin, but apparently they still want to bolster their receiving corps. Right now, the group includes Maclin, Mike Wallace, and Breshad Perriman. Maclin was a huge addition, Wallace was a very reliable target last season for the team, and Perriman by all accounts has been lighting up OTAs. They already have one of the best receiver trios in the NFL, but we'll see if they add another talented player like Decker to the mix. Decker should have his situation sorted out soon, now that Maclin has signed.

Jeremy Maclin is signing with the Baltimore Ravens, according to Adam Schefter.
It's a two-year deal, per Schefter. This is a big get for the Ravens, who are looking to bounce back and make a Super Bowl run after missing the playoffs last season. Maclin is only 29-years-old and should have a lot left in the tank. He will immediately step in as a full-time starter along with Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman, giving Joe Flacco another reliable target. The veteran receiver—who played four seasons for offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg in Philadelphia when Mornhinweg was the offensive coordinator there—should fit right in with the Ravens, and he should be a factor this season. He might not offer major upside in the Ravens offense, but Maclin is worth a mid-round pick in 2017 fantasy drafts as one of the better receivers in the NFL.
