Join now >The Seahawks are signing Alex McGough to the practice squad.
McGough is being added to the practice squad while Seattle will apparently move current practice squad quarterback Danny Etling into isolation as an emergency quarterback in case a COVID situation hits the quarterback room. It’s interesting that more teams haven’t made moves like this in 2020, especially after the Broncos’ issues a couple of weeks ago.

The Seahawks designated Rashaad Penny (knee) to return from injured reserve.
Penny’s 2019 season ended with a very significant knee injury, so the former first-round pick being close to a return is obviously great news for this year and beyond. He can probably stay on the waiver wire in redraft leagues with a very limited role projected if he returns in the regular season, but Penny will hope to show he’s ready to play in practice for the playoff-bound Seahawks.

The Ravens have activated Mark Andrews from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Andrews will fortunately return for Monday night’s game against the Browns, and he will immediately be back in high-end TE1 range in a great matchup. The return of the star tight end is obviously good news for Lamar Jackson’s outlook as he hopes to finish strong for what looks like a tremendous end-of-season schedule.

Christian McCaffrey is now dealing with a thigh injury.
McCaffrey was limited in today’s practice as the Panthers come off their bye week, and in addition to the shoulder issue the All-Pro runner now has a thigh issue. McCaffrey’s Week 14 status is now in some doubt, but hopefully it’s not too serious and Carolina will have their star player out there this Sunday against the Broncos. Ideally, McCaffrey will be up to full practice participation by Friday.

The Lions signed Jerell Adams to the practice squad.
The former South Carolina tight end will look to work his way onto the active roster for the Lions, but he’s not a recommended fantasy pickup at the moment.
12/9/20 - 12:10 PM ET
James Conner has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Conner missed the past two games while on the COVID-19 list, but he’s set to return this Sunday night against the Bills. We’ll see if the Steelers want to try to get the run game going after losing for the first time this season in Week 13. There’s risk in case Pittsburgh abandons the run again, but Conner should be a solid option for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
12/9/20 - 12:02 PM ET
Denzel Mims might not play in Week 14.
Jets head coach Adam Gase says that Mims will not practice today as he deals with a personal issue, adding that the rookie receiver might not play this Sunday against the Seahawks. We hope everything is OK with Mims and his family.
