Join now >Daniel Jones (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 14.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan says Jones will have to convince Giants head coach Joe Judge that he can play on Sunday, but that he is expected back after missing last week with the hamstring issue. This is great news for the contending Giants after getting another win to move to 5-7 and remain in first place in the NFC East. Expect Jones to be somewhat limited in practice throughout the week, and we’ll let you know how he’s listed on the final Week 14 injury report when it’s released on Friday.

Temarrick Hemingway (wrist) is out for the season.
Hemingway suffered a dislocated wrist a couple of nights ago, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who says his season is over. This is unfortunate for Hemingway and a playoff-contending Washington team. Hopefully Hemingway is back to 100% and feeling better soon. His season ends with one reception for ten yards.

Antonio Gibson is dealing with turf toe.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says Gibson is dealing with “a painful case of turf toe, which may knock him out for Sunday” against the 49ers. This isn’t a surprise after Gibson had to leave Monday evening’s game early and looked to be in clear pain and discomfort. We’ll update you if Gibson is able to get on the practice field at some point this week, but look for J.D. McKissic to lead the Washington backfield for Week 14, with Peyton Barber mixing in on short yardage and goal-line situations in particular.

Dez Bryant has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Cowboys-Ravens game begins in 20 minutes, so this is an odd situation. Bryant will obviously be unable to play tonight, but we’re assuming the game will go on as scheduled. There hasn’t been any known evidence of on-field transmission, so hopefully there isn’t an issue that arises from pregame warmups when players are mostly more spread out than during the game. This is a tough break for Dez, who will not be able to play his former Cowboys team.

The 49ers released Jordan Matthews from the practice squad.
The former second-round pick is not currently on the fantasy radar and does not need to be held in dynasty leagues.
12/8/20 - 05:35 PM ET
The Giants signed Joe Webb to the practice squad.
Webb provides great versatility as a guy that can play on both special teams and offense. The Giants might also be keeping Webb in mind as a potential emergency quarterback option during the COVID-19 pandemic which can wipe out position groups at a time as we’ve seen.

The Packers are placing Tyler Ervin (foot) on injured reserve.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero says Ervin is likely to miss around a month with his foot injury suffered a couple of days ago against the Eagles, so injured reserve (forcing him to miss a minimum of three weeks) makes sense. Hopefully Ervin can be back for Week 17 and/or the postseason.
