Join now >The Texans activated Brandin Cooks from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
After missing last week while on the COVID list, Cooks will be available for the final two games of the season.

The Seahawks placed Adrian Peterson on the practice squad/injured list.
Peterson has been dealing with the back issue for a few weeks now, and unfortunately he was able to play just one game for the Seahawks after signing with them. Perhaps he’ll be released at some point and land with his third team, but the future Hall of Famer probably won’t play again this season. Peterson’s 2021 ends with 38 carries for 98 yards and two touchdowns in three games with the Titans and one with the Seahawks. “All Day” will turn 37 this offseason, but we know he stays in tremendous shape and has maintained that he wants to continue his career.

The Saints activated Trevor Siemian from the reserve/COVID-19 list
Siemian was activated along with Taysom Hill, as the Saints will get serious reinforcements at quarterback after rookie Ian Book was put in a very difficult spot having to start last Monday night. It’s good to see Hill and Siemian able to rejoin their teammates.

The Saints activated Taysom Hill from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Hill is back after unfortunately missing Week 16—which turned out to be very ugly for New Orleans—while on the COVID list. The dual threat quarterback will take on the Panthers defense this Sunday with the Saints looking to grab a wild-card spot in the NFC.

The Falcons claimed Matt Barkley.
Recently waived by the Panthers, Barkley will remain in the division with Atlanta. In a time with COVID-19 impacting the league heavily, it makes sense to add a veteran quarterback like Barkley for depth.

Darren Waller has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Waller has missed the past few weeks with a knee injury, and now needing to clear protocols by Sunday puts his status in more doubt. The superstar tight end would be a must-start if active, but Foster Moreau looks primed to draw another start and would be a solid TE2 play against Indianapolis.
12/29/21 - 03:36 PM ET
Sam Darnold will start in Week 17.
After getting playing time last week, Darnold will now start for Carolina over Cam Newton this Sunday. The Panthers understandably want to see more of Darnold over the final two games after dealing a second-round pick for him last offseason.
