Join now >Albert Wilson has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Nearly 100 players were placed on the COVID list today, and this obviously knocks Wilson out for tonight’s game against the Saints.

Jimmy Garoppolo is dealing with a right thumb injury.
Garoppolo’s status is now uncertain for Week 17, and the Niners starting quarterback will be evaluated later this week. Jimmy G had some struggles while dealing with the thumb injury in the loss to the Titans last Thursday night, but he’s played well overall this season and is a key reason for San Francisco being 8-7 and currently in a playoff position in the NFC. If Garoppolo is unable to play this Sunday, rookie Trey Lance would make his second career start.

David Johnson has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Johnson has been out of action for a variety of reasons with only one game played this month, and now he’s in definite danger of missing Week 17. Either way, Rex Burkhead has established himself as the top option in the Houston backfield for the final two games.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Julio Jones was also placed on the list, so we can only hope that A.J. Brown doesn’t eventually join them. If he doesn’t, Brown should see another heavy workload in terms of targets to help make up for a difficult matchup versus the Dolphins in Week 17.

The Titans are placing Julio Jones on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Jones will now be on the clock to get cleared for a big game next Sunday against Miami, and while the numbers haven’t been there in Tennessee, the former All-Pro helps take coverage away from A.J. Brown. With Nick Westbrook-Ikhine also on the list, others will need to step up if Julio is unable to get cleared by the weekend.

Mike Evans has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Evans is dealing with a hamstring injury that we imagine would have kept him out for this week anyway, so the placement on the list actually comes at a good time to avoid any chance of being placed there in the playoffs. Tampa Bay will get Breshad Perriman back this week to likely start alongside Antonio Brown with others mixing in at wide receiver.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire (collarbone) has no structural damage, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The injury is not season ending, and while it sounds like CEH will miss some time, we would guess he’ll be back for the postseason (especially if Kansas City gets the No. 1 seed). Darrel Williams will start if Edwards-Helaire does indeed miss regular season games, and he’d be on the RB2 map with Derrick Gore seeing extended run to be a FLEX candidate.
