Join now >The Saints are signing Blake Bortles.
Bortles will be the backup to rookie Ian Book on Monday night with Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian both out with COVID-19. The former No. 3 overall pick was in a similar situation for the Packers earlier this season.

Gabriel Davis has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Buffalo will now be without both Davis and Cole Beasley due to the virus, which is obviously a tough break heading into a rematch versus New England. The Bills should at least have Emmanuel Sanders (knee) back after missing Week 15, and his outlook now gets a boost with more targets up for grabs. We’d expect Josh Allen’s legs to be a significant factor on Sunday.

Laviska Shenault Jr. has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
He joins star pass rusher Josh Allen on the list, so Jacksonville will be down at least two key players for this weekend against the Jets. Hopefully Shenault can get healthy soon, and the team will rely on Laquon Treadwell as their clear No. 2 wideout until he returns.

The Seahawks activated Tyler Lockett from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Lockett unfortunately missed Tuesday night while on the COVID list, but he’ll be back for Week 16 against the Bears. You can re-insert Lockett into lineups for the fantasy playoffs.

Jaelon Darden has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Darden will be out this week, and his absence will mostly be felt on special teams, so we’ll see if Scotty Miller, Antonio Brown, or someone else takes over as the punt returner. The rookie has caught six passes for 43 scoreless yards this season.

The Bucs have placed Leonard Fournette (hamstring) on injured reserve.
Fournette is expected to be good for the postseason, but his regular season is now over, so Ronald Jones II will be the lead back for the final three games. It’s unfortunate that Fournette didn’t stay healthy for the fantasy championship and a chance at a 1,000-yard campaign, but his impressive season still ends with RB1 numbers: 180 carries, 812 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns, 69 receptions, 454 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns. It will be interesting to see what the Bucs do at the position this offseason, as Fournette surely increased his stock ahead of 2022 free agency.

The Rams designated Cam Akers (Achilles) for return from injured reserve.
Akers tore his Achilles during the summer, but the optimism that he could actually play this season continues and looks as realistic as ever. This move means that Akers can practice with the Rams, and if he’s activated in the next 21 days, he can play this season (if he’s not activated, he will remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season). So, Akers could potentially return during one of the final three weeks of the regular season or in the first round of the playoffs. The second-year back would be a nice boost to the Rams offense, though Sony Michel has done an excellent job in the lead role over the past few weeks.
