Alshon Jeffery gets carted off against the Giants.

Just as he was starting to run a route, Jeffery suffered a non-contact injury that looks a lot like a potential Achilles injury. The veteran receiver was clearly frustrated after hobbling off the field to get carted to the locker room, and it would be a surprise if he’s able to return to tonight’s game. Hopefully this injury isn’t as bad as it looks, but the Eagles are now without both Jeffery and Nelson Agholor (knee, inactive) tonight against the Giants.

Jordan Howard (shoulder) is officially inactive for the Eagles.

Howard remains week-to-week with his stinger, but it continues to look like the powerful running back unfortunately will not play again this season. Howard has been out for over a month (since November 3).

Nelson Agholor (knee) is officially inactive for Monday night.

Agholor missed practice all week with his knee injury, and this is his second game missed in the last three weeks because of the issue. The dynamic receiver does a lot of dirty work for the Eagles, so his absence is a big loss as the team looks to get to 6-7.

Rashaad Penny tore his ACL.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll had said that Penny suffered a “significant” ACL sprain last night, and today he said the second-year running back would be out for the season. Now, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirms that it is a torn ACL for Penny. This is a really tough break for the former first-round pick, as he was playing his best football the last two weeks before the injury, with rushing lines of 14/129/1 and 15/74/1 against two tough defenses (Philadelphia and Minnesota). Penny’s second NFL season ends with 65 carries for 370 yards and three touchdowns along with eight receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown in nine games. If rehab goes well and Penny can get back to the form he showed recently, he could be more of a 1B than a distant No. 2 to Chris Carson in Seattle’s backfield next season.

The Jets signed Jeff Smith to the active roster.

Smith is an undrafted rookie from Boston College that spent his freshman season as a quarterback before making the switch to wide receiver for his final three years in school, so he’s a versatile player. Smith was on the practice squad, but he’ll now get a nice opportunity on the 53-man roster for the Jets over the final three games of the season. He’s not a highly recommended dynasty-league pickup yet, but he’s someone to keep an eye on.

The Colts placed Parris Campbell on injured reserve.

Campbell dealt with a plethora of injuries throughout his rookie season, and he was limited to just 18 receptions for 127 yards and a touchdown along with four carries for 34 yards in seven games (three starts) this year. Indianapolis still obviously has high hopes for the 59th overall pick in this year’s draft, and hopefully the Ohio State product can stay healthy in 2020. Campbell will likely be someone that can be had at the end of fantasy drafts next summer.

Derrius Guice will not play in Week 15.

The Redskins are undoubtedly going to take a cautious approach with their second-year running back, so this is not a surprise. Guice underwent an MRI on his injured knee, and the results should be available sometime today. Adrian Peterson could get a heavy workload this Sunday versus the Eagles.
