David Njoku | Browns TE

The Browns have placed David Njoku (wrist) on IR.

Njoku will miss at least the next eight games, but Cleveland will likely designate him as a player to return in a couple months. Ideally, fantasy owners will be able to stash him on an IR spot, but Njoku can be dropped if you need the roster space. Demetrius Harris will fill in as the starter and is a touchdown-dependent TE2.

DeSean Jackson | Retired WR

DeSean Jackson (groin) is expected to miss two weeks, according to multiple reports.

There’s apparently more testing going on, as there doesn’t appear to be an exact timetable yet. But it’s not surprising that the veteran receiver is unlikely to play this Sunday against the Lions after injuring his groin last Sunday night; and the Eagles then have a quick turnaround for a Thursday game versus the Packers, so that’ll also make it difficult for him to play in Week 4. With Jackson likely out Alshon Jeffery dealing with a calf injury that’ll likely keep him out, the Eagles are going to rely a lot on Nelson Agholor, who could get more time on the outside. We’ll update you if Jackson happens to practice at all this week, but that seems unlikely.

Jerome Cunningham | Washington TE

The Redskins have signed Jerome Cunningham.

Cunningham—an undrafted free agent in 2013—appeared in three games for the Lions last season, which was his first regular season action since making three starts for the Giants a few years ago, so it’s good to see him get another opportunity. The veteran will slide in as depth behind Vernon Davis with Jordan Reed still recovering from a concussion.

Jordan Reed | Retired TE

Jordan Reed (concussion) officially did not practice today.

It’s the first official practice of the week for the Redskins, and there was optimism that Reed will be good for Monday night, but it’s concerning that he’s still dealing with the concussion suffered last month. Hopefully Reed is feeling better soon, but we’ll keep you updated on his status the next couple of days.

9/19/19 - 06:06 PM ET

Penny Hart | Falcons WR

Rashaad Penny (hamstring) is questionable for Week 3.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says Penny hurt his hamstring in today’s practice, so this obviously doesn’t bode well for his availability this Sunday. Seattle plays in the late afternoon slate of games, so you’ll need a backup plan if you were planning to play Penny this week. Ultimately, you’re probably better off inserting someone else into your Week 3 fantasy lineup even if Penny is active.

9/20/19 - 05:02 PM ET

Pharoh Cooper | Free Agent WR

The Bengals waived Pharoh Cooper.

The former All-Pro returner is still looking to stick with a team, but he shouldn’t have much trouble drawing interest quickly around the league. Cooper does not need to be owned in dynasty leagues.

9/17/19 - 01:54 PM ET

Saquon Barkley | Eagles RB

Saquon Barkley (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of today’s game.

The Giants just announced that Barkley is out as they returned to action for the second half. This isn’t a surprise after the ankle injury looked pretty bad and Barkley had to be helped to the locker room, but hopefully the No. 1 overall pick in most 2019 fantasy drafts doesn’t miss too much time with the injury. More information on Barkley’s status moving forward should become available in the next 24 hours. UPDATE: Barkley is on a walking boot and crutches on the sideline, so it doesn’t look good right now.
