Atlanta was expected to part says with Ortiz after signing former Raiders fullback Keith Smith. Ortiz is off the fantasy radar right now.

Matt LaCosse (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 1.
LaCosse was able to practice on a limited basis all week as he recovers from his preseason ankle injury. With the Patriots playing on Sunday night to open their season, LaCosse’s status probably won’t be known until after the other games have kicked off on Sunday.

The Patriots are re-signing Demaryius Thomas.
New England putting first-round rookie receiver N’Keal Harry on injured reserve opens the roster spot for the team to bring back Thomas. The veteran receiver might immediately have a starting role along with Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman, but he will likely mostly split time with Phillip Dorsett (and potentially Gordon, depending on what shape the Pats feel he’s in) to open the year.

Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday night.
Thomas was limited in practice all week, and he could be trending toward a game-time decision. However, the Patriots might take it slow with Thomas, as the veteran receiver is still coming off a torn Achilles despite playing in the final preseason game. If DT plays, he won’t be a recommended Week 1 fantasy option.

The Dolphins reached an injury settlement with Dwayne Allen.
Allen was a good locker room guy for Miami, but he’s headed elsewhere after spending the spring and summer with them. The veteran tight end could draw interest from his former Patriots squad.

The Patriots are placing N’Keal Harry (ankle) on injured reserve, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
New England’s first-round pick is expected to return this season, but this locks in Phillip Dorsett as a starter alongside Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon. Fantasy owners might as well stash Harry on IR if they have a spot open, though he’s not a must-hold and is no lock to make an impact in 2019. The Patriots should now have Jakobi Meyers and Demaryius Thomas round out the depth chart.

The Saints released Jacquizz Rodgers.
New Orleans has a pretty crowded backfield, so this isn’t a surprise. The veteran running back should draw immediate interest from other teams.
