The Jets placed Joe Flacco on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Flacco started for the Jets last week and played well, but he’s probably not going to start again after this, which is unfortunate. Hopefully the veteran quarterback is feeling OK.

The Titans waived Adrian Peterson.

This is somewhat of a shocker after Peterson was signed by the Titans to help make up for the loss of Derrick Henry. Peterson played just three games for Tennessee, rushing 27 times for 82 yards and a touchdown. He also had four receptions for eight yards. We’ll see if the future Hall of Fame can land with another team this season after showing that he arrived in football shape for the Titans (which was no surprise).

Eric Ebron (knee) is expected to miss time.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler says the Ebron is getting a second opinion, but that he’s expected to need a knee procedure that will force him to miss an extended period of time. This explains the Steelers adding Jace Sternberger to the practice squad. Impressive rookie Pat Freiermuth is locked in as a top option at tight end for Ben Roethlisberger.

The Steelers signed Jace Sternberger to the practice squad.

Eric Ebron (knee) is set to miss time for Pittsburgh, and Sternberger will help provide depth at tight end. For now, Sternberger is off the redraft radar.

The Steelers placed Ray-Ray McCloud on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The COVID issues for the Steelers continue. McCloud has been a key contributor as a returner for the Steelers, and he’s also gotten some time on offense as of late. Hopefully the receiver/returner is feeling better and can re-join his teammates soon.

The Titans are signing Dontrell Hilliard.

Hilliard, who caught eight passes last week against the Texans, is signing with the active roster for the Titans, as the team continues to look to use a committee approach without Derrick Henry. He’s earned a spot on the active roster after he was a practice squad call-up. Hilliard is someone to keep an eye on in deeper leagues in particular.

The Saints are signing Malcolm Perry.

Perry was recently waived from injured reserve while with the Patriots, so he’s now apparently healthy. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says he’ll start on the practice squad and should get called up to the active roster soon. The former Navy quarterback is yet another versatile piece for the Saints offense.
