QB: Tom Brady @ KC

DraftKings: $5,800 | FanDuel: $8,400

Some people are just laughing at or brushing off Tom Brady’s comments about being the underdogs, but he’ll seriously use that extra motivation to get as pumped and focused as ever with a ninth Super Bowl trip on the line. Brady has 14 touchdowns and one interception in his last six playoff games, and you can bet he’s heard some of the talk about how Patrick Mahomes is the best player in football and whatnot. It’ll be all about winning, so if New England runs for five touchdowns, Brady would not care less that he didn’t put up passing numbers. But expect him to toss for at least a couple of scores—and maybe four or five—in what should be a shootout.

RB: Damien Williams vs. NE

DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,200

If Spencer Ware (hamstring) returns to the lineup for the Chiefs, Damien Williams might not get close to the 30 touches he received last Saturday. However, Williams is playing exceptionally well right now, and the Patriots defense might take a bend-don’t-break approach that allows him to rack up a ton of yardage and another handful of receptions. Capping off drives with a touchdown or two could make Williams one of the week’s highest scorers again.

RB: Sony Michel @ KC

DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $7,500

There’s a reason the Patriots drafted Sony Michel in the first round of last year’s draft, and the former Georgia star is being put to use in the cold during the postseason. Overall, the Chiefs did a decent job of limiting the Colts and their rushing attack last weekend, but Indianapolis didn’t commit much to the run game after falling behind (Marlon Mack averaged 5.1 yards per carry but had just nine attempts). New England is likely to attack Kansas City on the ground, with Michel as the lead man running the football.

WR: Michael Thomas vs. LAR (DraftKings) | Sammy Watkins vs. NE (FanDuel)

Thomas: $8,200 | Watkins: $5,600

For DraftKings, there’s enough to spend on the highest-priced receiver in Michael Thomas, who torched the Rams for 12 receptions for 211 yards and a touchdown in their matchup back in November. Aqib Talib is back for Los Angeles after missing that game, which will make things more difficult on Thomas, though he remains a safe play. For FanDuel, Sammy Watkins might be shadowing by Stephon Gilmore, but the Chiefs might move him around the formation enough that he can do some damage with the ball in his hands.

WR: Julian Edelman @ KC

DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $7,900

Julian Edelman’s game logs in his last 11 postseason games:

6/84/0 (9 targets)

10/89/1 (15 targets)

8/74/0 (14 targets)

9/98/0 (11 targets)

9/109/1 (12 targets)

10/100/0 (16 targets)

7/53/0 (13 targets)

8/137/0 (13 targets)

8/118/1 (10 targets)

5/87/0 (13 targets)

9/151/0 (13 targets)

Tom Brady trusts Edelman in the postseason, and that’s not going to change in the AFC title game.

WR: Robert Woods @ NO

DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $7,100

Because of his safety (4+ receptions, 61+ yards in every game but two this season), Robert Woods is always a good player to insert into fantasy lineups for at least several-to-a-dozen points. He’ll likely be Jared Goff’s most-targeted receiver on Sunday, which leads to strong upside to go along with his always-high floor.

TE: Rob Gronkowski @ KC

DraftKings: $4,100 | FanDuel: $5,600

The Chiefs are 32nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and Rob Gronkowski looked more like himself despite just one reception (a 25-yarder where he looked monstrous after the catch) in last week’s Divisional Round win against the Chargers. Gronk wanted to continue his career only in New England, and it’s time for him to step up and show he still has it as a receiver. The All-Pro might prove a lot of people wrong this Sunday and potentially beyond.

FLEX: C.J. Anderson @ NO

DraftKings: $5,000 | FanDuel: $6,500

Even with Todd Gurley back for the Rams, C.J. Anderson continues to put up Gurley-type numbers while running behind an offensive line that’s opening up gaping holes for the backs. The Saints are a tough run defense, but Sean McVay might give both Gurley and Anderson another 15-20+ carries each to take pressure off the passing game and keep Drew Brees off the field. Keep one of the league’s hottest players rolling this weekend.

D/ST: Rams @ NO

DraftKings: $2,300 | FanDuel: $4,200

Selecting a defense for conference title games is a crapshoot, but the Rams have the soon-to-be back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year on their unit. Donald can record a few sacks and a turnover or two himself, so that’s something to hang your hat on with the Rams defense.
