NFL Week 6 Daily Fantasy Football Recommended Lineup Advice (DraftKings, FanDuel)

Last week’s surprising performance by Atlanta’s offense against Pittsburgh led to the most disappointing daily fantasy lineup of the season to this point. However, we’re going right back to the Falcons this week, as they should have multiple options put up numbers at home against a defense that’s struggled this season.

QB: Matt Ryan vs. TB

Draft Kings: $6,800 | FanDuel: $8,300

Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady are obviously great options in a potential shootout on Sunday night, but Matt Ryan faces a Buccaneers team that’s given up at least 334 passing yards in each of their first four games, while allowing fantasy point totals of 31, 15, 24, and 43. They’ve had to face Super Bowl MVPs in that span, but Matty Ice—a former regular season MVP himself—is one of the league’s best. Expect big numbers from Atlanta as they host Tampa Bay.

RB: Tevin Coleman vs. TB

DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $6,300

Devonta Freeman (foot) is looking doubtful for Sunday’s matchup, so it makes sense to pair Tevin Coleman with Matt Ryan. Even if Freeman plays, it might be at less than 100%, which would mean more work for Coleman in the backfield. Coleman had 19 carries for 97 yards and two touchdowns in a start against the Bucs last November.

RB: Chris Carson @ OAK (London)

DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $6,400

There’s the chance the Seahawks randomly go away from Chris Carson and decide to start featuring first-round rookie Rashaad Penny, but you should be able to safely insert Carson into lineups this week considering how well he’s run the ball. The second-year running back has 102 yards and 116 yards rushing in each of his last two games, receiving 32 and 19 carries in those two games. Oakland is allowing 4.9 yards per carry this season, and their focus is probably going to be on stopping Russell Wilson. Carson has top-five upside this week.

WR: Julio Jones vs. TB

DraftKings: $7,900 | FanDuel: $8,500

Julio Jones has top-five upside every week, and he’s an especially great option this week against the Buccaneers. Not only has Tampa Bay been bad against the pass this season, but Jones has dominated them throughout his career, with a whopping 83 receptions for 1,413 yards and ten touchdowns in 12 career games versus them. He had a 253-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Bucs last season, and don’t be surprised if he has a similar output and gets on the board with a touchdown or two six weeks into the season.

WR: Robert Woods @ DEN

DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $7,300

Snow is a possibility for the Rams-Broncos game in Denver, so the offense could be at an advantage if defenders struggle with footing. Robert Woods runs decisive routes short, intermediate, and deep, and the Broncos cornerbacks are not as feared as they once were. Woods has at least five receptions and 81 yards in each of the last four games, and he’s again a very good play in Week 6.

WR: Calvin Ridley vs. TB

DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $6,700

Against the Bucs, there should be more than enough to go around for a few of Atlanta’s skill players. Calvin Ridley was relatively quiet in last week’s loss to the Steelers, but another big game could be coming in a win the Falcons need to get back on track. The rookie has quickly gained the trust of his quarterback, who should be able to find him for some game-changing plays.

TE: Greg Olsen @ WAS

DraftKings: $4,300 | FanDuel: $5,900

Austin Hooper, also from that Falcons-Bucs game, is a strong tight end option at a great cost, but it might be risky to go with so many players from one team. But you should consider him in your daily fantasy lineups for Week 6. However, this lineup goes with Greg Olsen, who is set to return after missing the last three games with a foot injury. Re-injury is going to be a risk until he remains on the field, but it’s a risk worth taking for a premium price.

FLEX: Josh Gordon vs. KC (DraftKings) | Cooper Kupp @ DEN (FanDuel)

Gordon: $5,500 | Kupp: $6,800

With Chris Hogan (thigh) potentially missing Sunday night or playing at less than 100%, it might be time for Josh Gordon to play close to a full slate of snaps against the Chiefs. The former All-Pro could have a huge explosion that makes people wonder how the Patriots were able to get him. For FanDuel, Cooper Kupp (assuming he gets cleared from his concussion) is a great option in the potential snowy conditions at Mile High. Kupp is a trusted target that will be exactly where Jared Goff expects him to be.

D/ST: Bills @ HOU

DraftKings: $2,200 | FanDuel: $3,400

Spending on a few higher-end options means spending less on a defense, but the Bills can be had at a good price-point for Week 6. Sean McDermott’s unit has been playing well, and the Texans are banged up, including quarterback Deshaun Watson. Houston’s offensive line might allow a few sacks in the matchup.
