Taysom Hill | Saints TE

Taysom Hill is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to multiple reports.

The Saints have a bit of an outbreak, which is not surprising considering just about every team is going through it at this point with the Omicron variant. Rookie quarterback Ian Book is now set to start for the Saints against the Dolphins on Monday night. It’s a shame for Hill, who has put together a nice stretch and is looking to show he can be the long-term quarterback in New Orleans.

Taylor Heinicke | Chargers QB

Taylor Heinicke is being removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Heinicke will be back for a big game against Dallas on Sunday night, and it’s close to a must-win to avoid a guaranteed losing record at 6-9. We wouldn’t highly recommend Heinicke based on how good the Cowboys have been defensively.

Jalen Guyton | Free Agent WR

Jalen Guyton is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Guyton joins Austin Ekeler and others on the list for the Chargers, and he’s likely going to miss this weekend’s game based on the timing. If so, rookie Josh Palmer would be the clear No. 3 wideout behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams for a great matchup versus Houston.

Josh Gordon | Free Agent WR

Josh Gordon has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Gordon could have a significant role on Sunday based on the COVID issues for the Chiefs this week, and it’d probably take one key player being out to put him on the FLEX radar. For now, he can be viewed as a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Julio Jones | Free Agent WR

Julio Jones is off the Week 16 injury report.

Despite just leaving last Sunday’s game early, Jones practiced fully today and is ready to go for tomorrow night’s Thursday night matchup against the 49ers. It’s a major surprise and good to hear. Now we have to hope Jones can hold up both for tomorrow and moving forward with the hamstring issues he’s gone through in 2021. Also for the Titans, A.J. Brown is expected to be activated from injured reserve for tomorrow night, so the team should be in a good spot if both Jones and Brown can play in Week 16.
