It’s a nice three-year, $30 million deal according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, so the Chiefs anticipate the former Packer being a key part of their offense post-Tyreek Hill. MVS averages 17.5 yards per reception for his career, and he has done quite well in the quarterback category throughout his career, as he’ll go from Aaron Rodgers to Patrick Mahomes.

The Dolphins waived Allen Hurns.
Hurns missed all of last season while on injured reserve due to a wrist injury, and he’s being waived with a failed-physical designation. The veteran receiver has missed two consecutive seasons (opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19), but he should draw interest around the league when he’s fully healthy.
The Texans are signing Andy Janovich.
Janovich finds a landing spot after being let go of by the Browns. The veteran fullback will help pave the way for Texans runners this season, but he’s not likely to become a recommended fantasy option.

The Chiefs are trading Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins.
Just shortly after news broke that Kansas City’s star wideout had requested a trade, he’s being sent to Miami for a first-round pick (No. 29 overall), second-round pick, and fourth-round pick this year in addition to a fourth-round pick and sixth-round pick in 2023. It’s a massive haul for the Chiefs considering what Davante Adams just went for, and Hill will reportedly be topping Adams for the largest contract for a wideout in NFL history (four years, $120 million). At first glance, there will be concerns about the Chiefs—and Patrick Mahomes—remaining as high-powered without Hill, but they still have Mecole Hardman to stretch the field, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them make a move for Alabama prospect Jameson Williams in next month’s draft. For the Miami side of things, the duo of Hill and Jaylen Waddle will arguably be the fastest in league history, and it’s a massive boost to the outlook of Tua Tagovailoa from both a real-life and fantasy perspective. We’d say this is a slight ding to Hill’s fantasy upside, though it will be interesting to see how Mike McDaniel schemes the offense up with how much speed they have.
Tyreek Hill has been given permission to seek a trade.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report that extension talks between Hill and the Chiefs have “stalled”, and Hill has now been given permission to seek a trade. The fact that Kansas City is giving Hill permission to seek a trade indicates they have no problem trading him away, and multiple teams are reportedly interested. We’d say there’s a decent chance something happens, as Andy Reid’s offense should be fine even without one of the NFL’s most dynamic weapons in the mix. We’ll see how this turns out, but we’d think something would happen before the draft if a trade does go down.
