Strengths

Extremely powerful interior lineman with a dominant demeanor. Great pre-play command. Very intelligent. Loves finishing his blocks and punishing opponents. Quick first step after the snap. Moves anchors off the spot. Difficult to disengage from. Effective cross blocker and puller with great awareness. Easily transitions to the second level and takes out linebackers. Knows how to use his hands in the running game and pass protection. Can play both center and guard. Faced top competition in the Big Ten.

Weaknesses

A little stiff in pass protection. Speed rushers can give him issues. Spends too much time on the ground due to aggressiveness. Base and overall footwork needs improvement. Short arms. Suffered a partially-torn pectoral at the Combine.

Conclusion

Billy Price might fall some in the draft because teams couldn’t get any athletic testing numbers on him after his injury, but he profiles as a powerful, tone-setting interior offensive lineman that is very intelligent. A top-50 selection despite the injury would show how highly teams think of Price.
