Strengths

Mentally, physically, and emotionally ready to succeed at the next level. Great power and ideal build for an interior offensive lineman. Moves people at the point of attack. Good vision and field awareness. Smooth working to take on linebackers and usually squares them up. Effective puller. Has the strength to handle powerful interior rushers. Doesn’t let people out of his grasp when he engages. Finishes blocks. Hustles to find defenders downfield. Very tough. Can play guard or center.

Weaknesses

Could struggle against quick interior rushers due to average foot quickness. Plays high in pass protection at times. Doesn’t have great overall athleticism.

NFL Comparisons

Travis Frederick – Spencer Long – Dan Feeney

Conclusion

Frank Ragnow should be ready to contribute immediately at the next level due to his size, experience, and mental makeup. While he’s not an exceptional athlete, I think Ragnow is a rock-solid pick on Day 2 with very little “bust” potential because of his football character.
