Strengths

Diverse pass-rushing repertoire. High motor and relentless finisher. Long arms and great overall size. Above-average athlete. Excellent instincts. Aggressive hands. Great bend and acceleration around the corner. Attacks the ball to create strip sacks. Has inside move to counter tackles with outside leverage. Sets the edge against the run. Tracks and pursues the ball from the backside. Hustles to make plays downfield. High character.

 

Weaknesses

Hands aren’t always in synch with feet. Doesn’t possess world-class athleticism, speed, or strength.

Conclusion

Chubb is the best edge player in this year’s class, and he gets the most out of his skillset with great technique, relentless pursuit against the run, and the ability to finish in passing situations. At worst, he should be one of the better edge players in the league for years to come.
