Strengths
Excellent athlete with great combination of size and speed. Great explosiveness and agility. Glides around the field to make plays. Tremendous range as a tackler. Has the strength to bring down ball-carriers with reaching arm tackles. Will get downhill to make a play in the gap. Dangerous as a blitzer up the middle. Mirrors the quarterback when acting as a spy. Profiles as an outstanding cover linebacker.
Weaknesses
Needs to do a better job taking on blockers and getting off blocks. Can be slow to diagnose. Often gets absorbed by traffic. Technique as a tackler needs to be more consistent.

Conclusion
Jefferson is the prototypical linebacker for today’s NFL, as he has the desired combination of size, speed, and strength to make plays all over the field. If he learns to do a better job reading things and getting off blocks, the Texas standout should turn into one of the game’s best at the position.
Good to see him not being slept on.
Linebackers seem to get more and more athletic
top linebacker maybe
I want Jefferson
