Strengths

Pinpoint passer that absolutely spins it. Throws with great velocity at all levels. Ball placement and accuracy is generally excellent. Works through progressions. Makes quick decisions and plays with confidence. Can thread it between tight windows in zone coverage. Hits receivers in stride down the sideline. Will use touch when he needs to. Recognizes when his check-down option is available. Good functional athleticism. Moves well in the pocket. Stays composed when the play breaks down. Keeps his eyes downfield as a scrambler and can deliver accurate throws on the run. Quick release.

Weaknesses

Combination of touch and anticipation needs improvement. Likes to see the target rather than throwing someone open. Could add more air to his deep ball at the next level. Needs to do a better job with ball security in the pocket. Probably won’t be able to make as many plays outside the pocket against NFL athletes.

NFL Comparisons

Brian Hoyer – Nick Foles – Davis Webb

Conclusion

Mike White is one of my favorite players in the 2018 NFL Draft, as he has an accurate, powerful arm that can throw to all levels of the field. I have him as a borderline top-50 player and a great fallback option for teams that miss out on the top-six quarterbacks.
