Strengths

Extremely aggressive and physical ball-carrier. Compact frame with good power. Thick arms and legs. Not afraid to initiate contact with would-be tacklers. Excellent balance at all levels. Great agility. Quick feet are always active. Doesn’t lose ground when he makes moves in the open field. Sees a crease and hits it. Fights for extra yardage. Easily sheds arm tackles. Good vision and patience in traffic. Reliable target on dump-off passes. Tone setter for the offense and team.

Weaknesses

Doesn’t possess elite explosiveness or acceleration. Needs to improve in pass protection. Has work to do as a route-runner. Running style could create durability concerns.

NFL Comparisons

Devonta Freeman – Frank Gore – Marshawn Lynch

Conclusion

Guice is a violent, physical runner that sets the tone for an offense by attempting to punish defenders. He doesn’t have home-run speed or top-end explosiveness, but the LSU product has above-average quickness and an assortment of moves to deploy in the open field.
