Strengths
Great combination of speed, balance, and vision. Underrated power and physicality. Seeks contact when he needs to and will pick up extra yardage. Effective runner both inside and outside. Takes good angles in the open field to force arm tackles. Threat to take it the distance when he reaches the second level. Top-end acceleration. Flashed potential as a receiver. Superb pass-protector. Can do damage on limited touches. Clutch performer.
Weaknesses
Agility is only average. Elusiveness comes through sudden upper-body movements and balance rather than quick feet. Could improve patience in short-yardage situations. Didn’t have a ton of production as a pass-catcher.
NFL Comparisons
Tevin Coleman – Alvin Kamara – Kenyan Drake
Conclusion
Michel is a slasher with great speed in pads and a pro-ready combination of vision and balance. He shouldn’t have to leave the field at the next level, but he’s shown the ability to produce in a more limited role.
If we don’t get Barkley we should trade up for him.
Might be 2nd best in the class.
I really like those comps
this year’s Kamara
Georgia is the king school of RBs.
