Strengths
Phenomenal athlete. Former volleyball and basketball player. Elite leaper. Huge frame and catch radius. Excellent hands. Makes tough catches in traffic. Skies for contested passes. Dominant red-zone threat. Can run routes from anywhere on the field. Very smooth and deceptive. Exceptional speed, quickness, and explosiveness for a tight end. Too big for most defensive backs. Too fast for most linebackers. Should be a mismatch nightmare all over at the next level.
Weaknesses
Not a very effective blocker. Needs to get pad level lower at the point of attack. Jams and press coverage could disrupt him.
NFL Comparisons

Conclusion
Gesicki is an elite red-zone threat and field-stretcher that should be used all over the field. He needs to improve his blocking, but based on receiving ability alone, the Penn State product is clearly top tight end in this year’s class.
Mike is going to be great. Teams are unwise to pass on him.
Former volleyball player could become the new thing for TEs haha.
I agree if he turns out to be good you’ll see it more
He’ll go to the Pats and be the next Gronk probably
He might be one of those guys that’s super good at football
Gesicki should be great in today’s NFL.
