Absolute rocket arm. Large frame and stands tall in the pocket. Very quick release for his size. Generally accurate when given a clean pocket. Fastball allows him to make tight-window throws. Gunslinger mentality. Confident challenging coverage and can make throws that most can’t. Plus accuracy on short and intermediate passes. Hits receivers in stride underneath to allow for yards after the catch. Good timing and accuracy on in-breaking routes. Flashes natural touch. Has quality arc on downfield throws and the ability to drop it in a bucket on throws outside the numbers. Sells play-action fakes from under center. Can change his arm angle to make a throw. Does a nice job hitting check downs. Good functional athleticism to extend plays. High release to avoid deflections at the line of scrimmage.

Makes too many questionable decisions. Poor pocket awareness and field vision. Mechanics often fall apart under pressure. Quick to bail and turn his back to the defense when pressured. Needs to be more willing to stand in and take a hit with defenders bearing down. Inconsistent on-the-move accuracy.

Overall, Eason is a rocket-armed quarterback that shows impressive accuracy when given a clean pocket, but his overall decision-making and issues when pressured puts him a tier below the first-round signal-callers. Under the right guidance, Eason has a chance to reach his ceiling if given time to develop on the bench.
