Strengths

Runs with tremendous power and determination. Rarely goes down on initial contact. Keeps his pads low and fights for extra yardage. Strong lower body. Falls forward when brought down. Superb balance. Former track star with breakaway speed. Runs north-south but has the explosiveness/acceleration to get to the edge. Exceptional combination of patience, decisiveness, and burst. Great vision. Natural feel for running lanes. Creates yards on his own. Knows how to set up blockers. Has a subtleness to avoid would-be tacklers. Very elusive at his size. Possesses a signature side step move. Brushes off arm tackles in space. Powerful stiff arm. Good overall receiving skills with significant improvement in final season. Solid in pass protection.

Weaknesses

Ball security is a concern. Fumbled 18 times in three years.

Conclusion

Overall, Taylor is a powerful runner with track star speed, tremendous determination, and natural feel for the position. I think he’s worth a top-ten pick and should be an immediate workhorse at the next level.
