Strengths
Very good range in coverage. Intelligent overall player. Natural athleticism. Plays fast and flies around both in coverage and as a run defender. Great feet and overall movement skills. Plus acceleration. Very good in man coverage. Can match up against slot receivers and running backs. Excellent ball skills. Aggressively plays the ball in the air. Overall, Davis projects best as a free safety that can mostly play deep but also has the skillset to come up and defend in man-to-man coverage. In a quality safety class, he should be a solid Day 2 pick with the main selling points being his intelligence and versatility.
