Strengths

Excellent size in terms of both height and build. Very thick and strong for the position. Remarkably smooth for a bigger receiver. Tough and physical. Fast when he gets going in the open field. Exceptional footwork around the line of scrimmage. Wins on inside releases for quick-strike throws. Uses deceptiveness to run complex downfield routes. Very effective working back to the ball on the outside. Reliable hands in traffic. Attacks the ball in the air. Impressive vision and patience as a runner. Determined to not be tackled and will initiate contact. Often used on pop passes and tunnel screens. Has experience lining up in the slot. Excellent run blocker with great technique. Standout player versus top competition in the SEC.

Weaknesses

Average explosiveness to create separation out of breaks. Sometimes late to track the ball on shorter passes. Can be halted by accurate press jams.

Conclusion

Overall, Edwards is a smooth, physical receiver that didn’t put up huge numbers in college but was clearly one of the top players every time he stepped on the field in the SEC. A stacked draft class could make him an excellent value in the late second or early third round.
