Strengths
Massive presence on the defensive line. Space-eater that doesn’t get moved off the ball. Extremely powerful anchor. Plays with desired overall physicality. Commands double teams inside. Quality movement skills for his size. Impressive burst at the snap. Wins with leverage. Strong initial punch. Immediately engages to control. Hands are quick and active. Good overall play recognition. Effective cutting to create traffic in short-yardage situations. High motor for a big man. Will try to contort/spin to try to get free. Able to push the pocket with one arm. Great pursuit and hustle/effort. Closes surprisingly fast with a direct line to target. Gets in on gang tackles and will hop on the pile. Battle-tested in the SEC (went toe-to-toe with Landon Dickerson in 2019).
Weaknesses
Below-average agility/quickness. Slow to disengage and make a tackle. Would like to see him stay on his feet more. Needs to win early to have success as a pass rusher. Used in a heavy rotation at LSU and could be limited to 3-4 nose tackle.

Conclusion
Overall, Shelvin is a monster on the interior that will plug holes against the run and possesses a high motor to help make up for some athletic limitations. The best fit for him will be as a 3-4 nose tackle that can hold up against double teams and try to beat up on opposing centers.
Imagine if the Bucs add him lol
I don’t think people realize TB is stacked and will add more talent like that with their draft picks.
