Strengths
Defensive play-caller and leader. Tremendous speed and athleticism. Very smooth overall movement skills. Great acceleration and closing burst. Assisted tackle machine. Outstanding sideline-to-sideline pursuit. Knows how to take angles to the ball. Throws his body around to get in on gang tackles. Quick to react when he identifies his target. Forceful and aggressive as a finisher. Reliable making one-on-one tackles in space. Will make a stop in the hole when kept clean. Shows strength when focused on taking on blockers. Extremely loose hips/feet in space. Upside to improve in zone coverage. Has the skillset to match running backs and tight ends. Good ability to mirror running backs on swing passes. Doesn’t tip his hand and is fast shooting gaps as a blitzer. Very effective as a quarterback spy. Elevates teammates/defense when on the field (as said by Nick Saban).
Weaknesses
Gets pushed around some inside. Can have trouble getting off blocks when engaged. Will sometimes have an inaccurate diving tackle attempt. Gets lost at times versus misdirection or play-action. Needs to trust his feet more in coverage. Often seems too focused on the quarterback in zone coverage. A step slow reacting to routes. Wasn’t the same in 2020 coming off torn ACL.

Conclusion
Overall, Moses is a modern-day linebacker with sideline-to-sideline speed, impressive overall movements skills, and standout intangibles. There could be some risk due to the knee injury that clearly impacted him in 2020, but Moses is a player worth investing in as at least a strong Day 2 pick.
Classic linebacker name.
