Strengths
Tremendous footwork and quickness. Excellent release and overall ability to separate. Great patience as a route runner. Outstanding feet to accelerate and throttle down. Really sells inside or outside route with head fake before going deep on double moves. Presses cornerbacks inside and easily crosses to get vertical. Tracks downfield passes very well. Hands catcher that has high focus looking the ball in. Very effective catching in traffic. Goes full speed across the middle. Unphased by oncoming defenders and will take a hit. Comfortable going to the ground for a catch. Knows where space is versus zone coverage and will look to turn a route deep with opportunity. Can elevate to bring in a high pass. Weapon on pop passes and underneath throws/touches. Very elusive with the ball in his hands. Impressive strength and contact balance for his size. Multiple one-handed catches while sprinting shows hand-eye coordination. Has played both the slot and outside.
Weaknesses
Overall frame is on the small side. Limited catch radius. Struggles to separate versus length/physicality. Penalty on infamous celebration before would-be game-tying PAT led to Egg Bowl loss and firing of previous Ole Miss staff.
NFL comparison
Diontae Johnson
Conclusion
Overall, Moore is a dynamic receiver that proved he can win on all three levels after being peppered with targets in Lane Kiffin’s offense. He could fit well in a role similar to the one Diontae Johnson had last season for the Steelers.
Compelling NFL comparison.
Thought you’d have him higher though top 50 is high I suppose
Eli? Ole Miss? Destined to be a Giant.
