Strengths
Elite explosiveness. Ideal overall frame with a strong lower half. Maximizes length. Very strong in general. Uses length/strength to extend and keep blockers off his frame. Tremendous get-off at the snap. Excellent hand usage. Extends and swipes/chops to defeat offensive tackles as a rusher. Extremely impressive bend for a bigger edge. Very effective power rush with the ability to effortlessly flatten to the quarterback. Great ability to reach for sacks. Has experience shading inside and rare bend rushing from there. Physical as a tackler and wraps up. Will extend, shed, and make the tackle versus the run. Has the ability to slip a blocker with a side step. Able to drop in coverage as a standup rusher. Comfortable carrying wheel routes downfield. Experience on both sides of the formation.
Weaknesses
Can stall out at times as a rusher. Doesn’t play as fast in pursuit as his timed speed. Can get caught too far inside and allow a big run off the edge.

Conclusion
Overall, Mafe is an explosive edge defender with tremendous bend and flashes of great all-around ability to rush the passer. He should be a fit in a 3-4 or 4-3 defense as a probable early Day 2 selection.
He has the look that’s for sure.
Minnesota has some good players. Mofa should be one of their better NFLers.
Giants need someone like him
