Strengths

Above-average athlete with great size and smoothness. Superb get-off at the snap. Excellent awareness. Very strong upper body. Can shift down the line of scrimmage to track ball-carriers. Keeps his eyes on the quarterback as he works against blockers. Shows the ability to take on and gain ground against the double team. Recognizes when he won’t get to the quarterback and is prepared to deflect passes. High motor. Will hustle to make plays downfield. High football intelligence.

Weaknesses

Needs to have more of a plan as a pass rusher. Gets taken out of the play too often. Has to improve his consistency against double teams. Lower body needs to get stronger to be better as an anchor.

NFL Comparisons

Linval Joseph – Johnathan Hankins – Kenny Clark

Conclusion

Hill is a smooth athlete with great initial quickness that will allow him to penetrate and make plays as a 3-technique defensive tackle in a 4-3 or a defensive end in a 3-4. He needs to develop as a pass rusher, but Hill is a borderline top-50 prospect for me because of his natural ability and intelligence.
