WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Austin Carr | Saints WR

The Saints re-signed Austin Carr.

Carr has been with New Orleans since 2017, so he remains in a spot where he's familiar and comfortable with the offense. He'll look to carve out a role behind Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders this season, but he's off the fantasy radar for now.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr catches one pass in loss to the Rams.

It went for five yards. Carr is under contract for one more season before hitting unrestricted free agency, but he won't be on the fantasy radar next year because of how loaded the offense is in New Orleans.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr held without a catch in Week 17 loss.

He was targeted once. Carr's regular season ends with nine receptions for 97 and two touchdowns, but he hasn't caught a pass since November.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr catches first 12-yard score in win over the Falcons.

The touchdown came on a busted coverage and was his only reception of the game. The 24-year-old has scored in each of the past two weeks, but he won't be a highly recommended fantasy option in Week 13 against the Cowboys.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr scores in Saints' win.

Carr made a nice three-yard catch in traffic at the front of the end zone for his lone reception in the Week 11 win over the Eagles. This was Carr's first touchdown reception as a Saint, and he'll look to catch more moving forward. Carr isn't a fantasy option right now, though.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr catches two passes in Saints' win.

Carr gained 20 yards on his two receptions against the Bengals. Carr doesn't have more than two receptions or 25 yards this season, so he's not a fantasy option right now.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr held without a catch in Week 8 win.

Carr was targeted once in the red zone, but he and Drew Brees didn't seem to be on the same page. The 24-year-old isn't a recommended fantasy option heading into a matchup with the undefeated Rams.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr caught two passes for 17 yards in Monday night's win over the Redskins.

Carr opened the season as the Saints' No. 3 receiver, but it looks like he could return from the Week 6 bye as the No. 5 wideout with Cameron Meredith seeing more playing time, Ted Ginn probably getting healthy, and Tre'Quan Smith emerging. Carr has five receptions for 62 yards so far this year.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr catches 25-yard pass in win over the Falcons.

It was Carr's only receptions of the game. The 24-year-old slot receiver isn't a fantasy option on an offense with so many mouths to feed, especially since the attack is centered around Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara. Carr will look to make a bigger impact in Week 4 against the Giants.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr doesn't catch a pass in Week 2.

Carr has a role as a receiver for the Saints, but he's difficult to trust in fantasy lineups as no better than the fourth or fifth option on offense.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr catches two passes in Week 1.

Carr worked as New Orleans' third wide receiver against Tampa Bay, and he caught two passes for 20 yards in their 48-40 loss. There's some upside, particularly in PPR leagues, as one of Drew Brees' top three receivers, but Carr isn't a highly-recommended fantasy option in standard-sized leagues.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr is starting in the slot for the Saints, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport says the 2017 undrafted free agent from Northwestern has gained Drew Brees' trust and calls him a potential "fantasy sleeper." There was a lot of hype around third-round rookie receiver Tre'Quan Smith, and the team also signed former Bears receiver Cameron Meredith, but it'll be Carr that starts next to Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn Jr. today against the Buccaneers. We don't recommend putting Carr in fantasy lineups quite yet, but this is a fine matchup if you want to take a shot, particularly in deeper leagues. PPR players should take notice of Carr, who is worth adding to the end of benches.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr did not make the Patriots' 53-man roster.

The undrafted receiver out of Northwestern impressed this preseason, but could quite crack the final roster. New England's acquisition of Phillip Dorsett today certainly didn't help things. Carr is very likely someone the Patriots would like to get through waivers and on to the practice squad.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr scores in Patriots' final preseason game.

The undrafted rookie from Northwestern had three receptions (on three targets) for 48 yards and a touchdown versus the Giants. Carr had 14 receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns this season, and he hopes to make it in a crowded receiver group for New England. If he doesn't make the final roster, Carr will be a definite practice squad candidate for the Pats.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

Austin Carr catches touchdown in first preseason game.

The productive undrafted receiver out of Northwestern had a very good debut, catching five passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was a great leaping grab in the end zone where Carr got a few feet off the ground. Carr is trying to crack the Patriots' final roster, but it might be difficult on a team with so many great players.

Austin Carr | Saints WR

The Patriots are signing undrafted Northwestern receiver Austin Carr.

Carr played all four seasons at Northwestern, and broke out as a senior for 90 receptions, 1,247 yards, and 12 touchdowns to win Big Ten Receiver of the Year. The Patriots have a very deep receiving corps, but he will try to work his way to a roster spot as a steady target.
